Midlands Lgbt+ Project is a community-based support and advocacy organisation working to create a safer, more inclusive Midlands for everyone in the LGBT+ community. They provide vital services across Laois, Offaly, Kildare, and Westmeath, offering a range of supports to LGBT+ people.

Their work includes social and peer support groups, community events, advocacy, and one-to-one supports that help combat isolation and promote wellbeing. They create spaces where LGBT+ people can connect, be themselves, and find community, especially in rural and smaller town settings where visibility and support can often be limited.

🌈 Sally’s Rainbow Road 🌈

This year, we are incredibly proud to dedicate the Carlow Pride Festival parade route to someone who is with us from the very beginning – Sally McDonald.

Sally was the first person to ever join the Carlow Pride Committee. Her passion, spirit, and unwavering support helped shape our festival into what it is today. To honour her contributions, the parade route on July 13th 2025 from St. Patrick’s / Carlow College to Carlow Town Park will now be known as Sally’s Rainbow Road.

Every step we take along that route will be a celebration of her constant dedication, her heart, and the vibrant energy she brought to Carlow Pride.

With love, pride, and gratitude – this one’s for Sally. 🏳️‍🌈💖

Join us right after the park for a FREE night of music, dancing, and pure celebration in the heart of Carlow.

Carlow Pride Festival is taking place on Sunday, July 13th this year. This is a fantastic event for volunteers to get involved in and many volunteers return each year to help out.

Volunteers are needed from 10am to 6pm on the day to assist with public information, crowd control, stewarding and clean up afterwards.
