Do what I say, not what I do - have you ever been called out by a client? I was recently...
During some LinkedIn training, I was highlighting the importance of having a good quality headshot, when the client (quite correctly) pointed out that I could do with a new headshot myself!
Let's be fair, it wasn't breaking news. Getting some new headshots was something I had been kicking down the road for, well, a lot of miles now. I'd put getting my picture taken somewhere between visiting the dentist (sorry, Kate) and filing my tax returns (not sorry for that one), ie. I'd really, really, really, rather not.
As luck would have it, my client was none other than the very talented professional photographer William Healy of Healy & Rimmington Photography who invited me to pop in for some new photos - yay (ish!).
All jokes aside, from the welcoming studio to William's innate ability to put you at ease, the whole experience was so relaxing - I might even stretch to fun! And I'm really thrilled with the results (see profile pic for proof 😉).
So, if you've been dilly dallying about getting some new headshots, don't be a Karen - just get it done! You'll thank yourself later.
