Before we head into the new year, we're taking a look back at the highlight of our year: the 2025 Food&Wine Restaurant of the Year Awards ✨

Brought to you in association with Rémy Martin, the event took place at The Shelbourne, Autograph Collection and brought together the best of the best from all across Ireland's food, drink, and hospitality industry for a ceremony with a delicious three-course meal and wines from our drinks partner Classic Drinks.

Throughout the day, we handed out awards like Best Chef Ireland, Best Restaurant, Cocktail Experience, Newcomer of the Year sponsored by OpenTable UK & Ireland, and Young Chef of the Year sponsored by Sysco Ireland. When assembling the very best of Ireland's food, drink and hospitality in one room, it's key to serve up a delicious meal - and chef Garry Hughes of The Shelbourne has done just that today.

To start, guests enjoyed West Cork crab with Asetra caviar, yuzu emulsion, and a Parmesan crisp alongside warm curried and confit garlic focaccia. Mains centred on roast centre-cut fillet of Kells Black Angus beef with Bourguignon jus, gratin potato and asparagus, while dessert featured éclair caramel and praline followed by petit fours, tea and coffee.
