Alas, the time has come to say goodbye.

I'm sorry to inform everyone that due to a change in circumstances, I've taken the decision to close the studio.

It's not been an easy decision to come to, but one for the best.

I'll still be providing freelance offerings, live sound, and out gigging here and there but the studio is closing the doors for the last time this week.

A huge thanks to all the bands, artists, solo, duo and all sorts of spoken word, voiceovers, and bits and bobs that I've had the pleasure to work with over the past four years since opening up, and a huge thanks to all the regular rehearsal space users who have been wonderful to have on board.

I'll be finishing up and honouring existing projects, or passing on to other trusted sources, but for now, the time has come to say goodbye to Hedgehog Studios in Drumkeen.

From my place to yours, from punk to folk to blues, to metal, to hip-hop, to spoken word, to voice-overs and to tracking for other producers, to rehearsals, to live sound on the road, and to all the various messers, it's been a mad year here at Hedgehog Studio Drumkeen.

A huge thank you to all who have crossed in and out the doors here at my wee studio in 2024.

There are far too many to mention but I've had a ball working with some phenomenal musicians and artists this year, and I can't wait to see what 2025 brings through the door here.

There's a Disturbance in the force!

He's been chatting about it for a while, so I'm glad to get Aaron up to lay down some scratch tracks for a project long in the waiting.

Punk folk? Folk pirate punk? If Misfits went Folk? Sure look, there's probably a million suggestions but you'll just have to wait to hear it for yourself.

Sneaky last minute photo..because I almost forgot again.
Tracking guitars with a crowd of Derry lads who have some class songs coming along well.

No amp sims, just good old fashioned pedals and amp job where a 57 and ribbon always work a treat 👌🤟

Mixing today after a great recording session again last night for an oi punk project that's nearing completion.

Amazing how something so small can be so important to a set of speakers.

What's more annoying is when something so small goes pop.

What's even more annoying when they go pop on both speakers.

Little bit of maintenance this evening replacing a set of tweeter diaphragms in the set of JBL JRX100s in here.

Hard to beat being able to hear yourself when rehearsing!
