Our production 'Left Behind' by Aisling O'Connor and Siobhan Clarke is competing at the Grand Prix Nova Radio Festival this week in Bucharest. Unfortunately holidays got in the way of us attending but delighted to have our work featured amongst the world's best!! Congrats and thank you too all those involved!

Great news, our production 'William Melville: Eve of War' is a finalist for the New York Festivals International Radio Awards 2016!! Huge credit goes to the cast and crew who gave so much to this production, particularly the writer and director Fred O'Connor! This production would not have been possible without the support of the BAI and Radio Kerry. Fingers crossed for the announcement of winners on June 20th in NYC.

On this day 100 years ago Tom Crean, Ernest Shackleton and four other brave sailors set out in a modified lifeboat on their now infamous 18 day, 800 mile journey from Elephant Island across the treacherous Southern Ocean to the island of South Georgia. It is still considered one of the most incredible survival stories in naval history and is depicted, along with the rest of the Endurance expedition, in our 2012 radio drama 'Tom Crean - Endurance'. Since we're getting all sentimental and historical these days with the centenary of The Easter Rising I thought I'd share our historical docu-drama with you again. 'End of the Line' tells the story of the Tralee & Di**le Railway which operated from 1891 til 1953 and was used by both sides during the War of Independence. 'William Melville: Eve of War' Gets Premiere on New Year's Day!!

That's right, the wait is finally over as the second instalment of our Melville series 'William Melville: Eve of War' will be aired on New Year's Day 2016 at 10am, only on Radio Kerry. You can listen online if you're not in the Radio Kerry catchment area at www.radiokerry.ie.

This thrilling drama is set in early 1914 when political tensions in Europe are at an all time high and the major powers are spying on one another intensely. Melville learns that German spies are plotting an audacious scheme to cripple the UK's economic, political and social structures as a precursor to the Great War. Melville and his colleagues in the Special Branch must draw on all their skills and informants to thwart this devious plot before it's too late.

So don't miss this new and original detective drama that provides entertainment for the whole family.
