Founded by brother and sister duo Carla and Delwyn Mooney working on international productions. Cardel supports directors by honing their creative potential and individuality working in the field of music videos, commercials, shorts moving to features and series. Cardel’s goal is to develop and deliver original stories and IPs that have strong creative and commercial viability appealing to a global audience, enabling the growth of the company and partners. Cardel is actively developing original content including feature films and episodic series building intellectual property and developing creatively ambitious projects for the international marketplace. Co-produced Cusp feature documentary in official competition at Sundance Film Festival 2021, won Jury Award for Best Emerging Filmmaker. Produced stop motion animation sequences animation direction by Joseph Wallace on a feature documentary The Sparks Brothers directed by Edgar Wright, premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2021. Produced with Media Rights Capital, the creators of (House of Cards, Ozark) and Wright’s company Complete Fiction acquired by Focus Features. Voices for the animation sequences included Simon Pegg as John Lennon and Nick Frost as Ringo Starr. Nominated for an Irish Film & Television Academy Award 2021 for short stop motion animation commissioned by national Irish broadcaster RTE “Günter Falls In Love” directed by BAFTA nominee Josephine Lohoar Self. RTEJnr commissioned another stop motion short for their Halloween Special 2021 “Dagda’s Harp” with BAFTA nominated director Daniel Quirke.
