I had to get over the fear of being what people call “cringe” when I first started posting on social media.
I worried about what my family and friends would think.
What people from school I haven’t seen in years would think.
What friends of friends would think.
What total strangers would think.
Last night, all of that disappeared.
I was watching my local football team with my dad; under the lights, packed house, unbelievable atmosphere. The stadium announcer read out the attendance (28,000) … and I had this moment where I stopped and turned to my dad
'Oh my days… I’ve got more followers than this?!'
That feeling hit me right in the chest.
After almost a year of posting, I’m now sitting on more followers across my main platforms than a sold-out football stadium. 🤯
I’m by no means a social media expert. I’m just someone with a burning passion to make self-defence a life skill everyone should know - delivered in a fun, educational and simple way that builds confidence.
Thank you to every single one of you for following me and being part of this journey. I genuinely hope my content has made you smile, taught you something new, or encouraged you to share it with someone you care about.
Wishing you and your families a happy and healthy 2026 🧡
And if there’s something you’ve always wanted to do, just start. Forget what everyone else thinks. They’re probably too busy in their own lives to care anyway.
