🕵️‍♂️ WHO IS THE “MOTHER OF HARLOTS” IN REVELATION 17?

In the Book of Revelation, a mysterious woman is described:

“And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
– Revelation 17:5 NKJV

She is called a great harlot, seated on many waters—which the Bible explains means peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues (Revelation 17:15). In short, she’s universal in reach.

Now ask yourself:

❓Which church calls itself universal?
❓Which church is headquartered in Rome?
❓Which church refers to itself as the Mother Church?

📚 According to the Douay-Rheims Bible (Catholic edition):

“Babylon: Rome. A metaphor probably founded on Jewish usage.” – I Peter 5:13 footnote

📖 The Catholic Catechism confirms:

“‘Catholic’ means ‘universal’…” (p. 146b)
“The Church is called Roman Catholic because its chief ruler is the lawful bishop of Rome.” (p. 146a)

The Bible likens the true Church to a chaste virgin (2 Corinthians 11:2). In contrast, a harlot represents a false church. Revelation calls this harlot the Mother of Harlots—meaning she has offspring or daughters.

🔍 When we match the Bible’s descriptions with historical and religious facts, it becomes clear:

👉 The Roman Catholic Church fits every sign.
She is the apostate church—the Mother of Harlots—mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

🛑 Is the Sign of the Cross Biblical?
Many Christians perform it daily. But did Jesus or His apostles ever teach this gesture? 🤔

📖 Here’s the truth—straight from history and Scripture:

🔹 The Bible never commands it.
Nowhere in the New Testament do we see Jesus or the apostles making the sign of the cross—or teaching anyone else to do so. (Check the Gospels, Acts, or Paul’s letters… it’s not there.)

🔹 The first recorded mention?
💭 Tertullian (around 200 AD) wrote:

“In all our travels and movements… we mark our foreheads with the sign.”
But even he admits it was a custom, not a command from God.

🔹 Even the Catholic Encyclopedia admits:

“The sign of the cross is not directly mentioned in the Bible… earliest record comes from the 2nd century.”
— Catholic Encyclopedia, Vol. 4, p. 498

🔹 It was institutionalized by the church centuries later.
It became common only after church rituals were formalized—not during the time of Christ or the apostles.

🚫 So what does that mean?
The sign of the cross is a man-made tradition, not a biblical command. It may feel spiritual… but it’s not from Scripture.

📢 Let’s return to worship that is based on truth, not tradition.
👉 John 4:24 — “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

🕊️ Who Has the Right to Worship God?
Not everyone. Only those God has elected and placed in the body of Christ—the Church—have the right to serve and worship Him.

📖 Why? Because God doesn’t accept just any worship.
Christ taught this clearly:

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
—John 4:24 NKJV

Worship must be according to truth—and that truth includes being part of the body of Christ.

But what is Christ’s body?

“And He is the head of the body, the church…”—-Colossians 1:18 NKJV

Only those inside the Church are part of Christ’s body. And who placed them there? God did.

But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.”
—-1 Corinthians 12:18 NKJV

This is God’s election—His choosing of people to be in Christ’s body, the Church.

But how does one enter the body of Christ?

“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body…”
—-1 Corinthians 12:13 NKJV

It is through baptism that one is added to the body—the Church of Christ.

⚠️ That’s why not everyone can worship God. Even if they call on Him, if they are not part of Christ’s body, their worship is not accepted:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
—Matthew 7:21 NKJV

📌 So who has the right to worship God?
✅ Those baptized into the body of Christ
✅ Those God elected and placed in His Church
✅ Those who serve Him according to the truth

…What is the name of the Church that our Lord Jesus Christ purchased with his blood?

“Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood.”
—-Acts 20:28 (Lamsa Translation)

✨ This is why we must value our membership in the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo). It is not man-made—it is God’s will.

📣 Let’s continue sharing the truth, friends:

Not all are saved. Not all are chosen. But those inside the body of Christ—the Church—are the ones God elected to worship Him.

🧐 Is Jesus the Almighty in Revelation 1? Let’s take a closer look…

Many believe that the “Alpha and Omega” in Revelation 1 refers to Jesus Christ. But is that what the Bible really teaches?

Revelation 1:1 clearly sets the tone:

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him, to show His servants…”

If God gave the revelation to Jesus, that means Jesus is not the source—God is.

Further down in verse 8, someone says:

“I am the Alpha and the Omega… the Almighty.”

But consider this: just before that, Jesus is introduced as “the faithful witness” who “made us kings and priests to His God” (Rev. 1:5–6).

So if Jesus has a God, and the Almighty in verse 8 is God, then it’s clear—the title “Almighty” in Revelation 1:8 belongs to the Father, not the Son.

💬 What do you think?
Is Jesus the Almighty, or is He the faithful servant of the Almighty God?

“Is Tradition Replacing Truth?”

Many people today follow religious customs without ever questioning where they came from—or if they’re even found in the Bible.

Have you ever stopped to ask:
Is this what Christ truly taught?
Is this the faith of the Apostles—or just man-made tradition?

The Bible warns us clearly:
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.” (Matthew 15:8–9 NIV)

Let’s go back to the source—God’s Word.
Not tradition.
Not opinions.
Not feelings.
Just Scripture.

Let’s talk:
What’s one tradition you’ve questioned—or want to know more about?

Who Is Jesus Christ—According to the Bible?

The Lord Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior given by God (Acts 13:23). He is the Son of God (Matthew 3:17), the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and the only way to the Father (John 14:6).

But here’s something the Bible never says: that Jesus is both God and man.

In fact, Christ Himself said, “I am a man who has told you the truth I heard from God” (John 8:40). His apostles affirmed the same: Jesus is man by nature (1 Tim. 2:5). He experienced everything human—He hungered (Matt. 4:2), thirsted (John 19:28), got tired (John 4:6), slept (Matt. 8:24), and even died (Matt. 27:50).

But unlike any other man, He never sinned (1 Peter 2:22, Hebrews 4:15).

Because of His perfect obedience, God exalted Him—gave Him a name above all names (Philippians 2:9–11), placed Him above all power and authority (Ephesians 1:21–22), and made every knee bow at His name.

Yet even in His exalted state, Jesus will one day submit all power back to God, showing He is still under the authority of the Father (1 Corinthians 15:27–28).

Jesus is not God the Son—a title He never used. He is the Son of God, the Servant of God, and the Man appointed by God to be our Savior.

Let the Bible speak.

What do you believe about Jesus—and is it based on Scripture? Let’s talk.

Is Romans 3:28 Really Teaching “Faith Alone”?

Some say Romans 3:28 proves we’re justified by faith alone—no action required. But let’s look closer:

“Therefore we conclude that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.”
—Romans 3:28 (NKJV)

What law is Paul talking about? Not Christ’s teachings—but the Law of Moses. Read Romans 2–4 carefully: Paul is addressing Jewish believers who relied on rituals like circumcision and ceremonial laws for salvation.

Even in Romans 4, Paul refers to Abraham being justified before circumcision, showing that these ritual works cannot save.

This same teaching is in Galatians 2:16, where Paul says:

“A man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ…”

Paul never said we’re saved by faith alone. In fact, James 2:24 says the opposite:

“You see then that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.”

So Romans 3:28 does not cancel out obedience, repentance, baptism, or entering Christ’s Church. It only tells us that Jewish rituals can’t save anymore—Christ can.

Truth over tradition. Bible over assumptions.

Did Jesus Really Claim to Be God in John 10:33?

In John 10:33, the Jews accused Jesus of making Himself God because He said, “I and the Father are one.” But let’s not stop there—read how Jesus responded.

Instead of accepting their claim, Jesus quoted Psalm 82:6: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?” (John 10:34). He reminded them that even others were called “gods” in Scripture—He was not claiming deity, but identity as the Son of God.

In fact, just a few verses later He says, “I am the Son of God” (v.36) and in John 14:28, “The Father is greater than I.”

If Jesus was truly claiming to be God, why would He clarify and correct their accusation?

Let’s discuss:
Do you think Jesus ever directly claimed to be God? Or was He misunderstood—just like today?

“Only God Can Forgive Sins”—Does That Make Jesus God?

In Mark 2, when Jesus forgave a paralyzed man’s sins, the Pharisees thought: “Only God can forgive sins!” So—did Jesus prove He was God?

Look at what He actually said:
“The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” (Mark 2:10)

This wasn’t Jesus claiming to be God—it was Jesus showing that God gave Him authority. Just like He said in Matthew 28:18, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

Jesus didn’t speak from Himself—He always pointed back to the One who sent Him (John 5:30).

Let’s reflect:
Was Jesus acting as God—or as one appointed by God with divine authority?
