Nobody prepares you for friendship heartbreak.
Not the slow distancing.
Not the one-sided effort.
Not the grief of realizing you’ve changed while the friendship stayed the same.
This is for the people grieving friendships quietly , while pretending it “shouldn’t hurt that much.”
If you’ve been feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or guilty for pulling away from certain friendships, this is your reminder:
outgrowing people does not make you cruel.
It makes you honest.
Read this if you’re healing from:
• friendship breakups
• toxic friendships
• one-sided friendships
• emotionally draining friendships
• losing friends in your 20s or 30s
• friendship grief and loneliness
• people pleasing and emotional burnout
You are allowed to choose peace without explaining yourself endlessly.
Save this for the version of you that kept shrinking to keep a friendship alive.
