On the morning of February 11 (Irish time), the National Library of Ireland hosted its first-ever Chinese traditional cultural event—the Red Star Xuan Paper Cultural Performance. The event drew significant attention, with over 100 attendees from the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Turkey, and other countries registering in advance.
The essence of Xuan paper’s "millennium craftsmanship" was brought to life through four engaging sections: a documentary screening on Xuan paper craftsmanship, an exhibition of cultural and creative Xuan paper products, a live demonstration of paper fishing techniques, and an interactive calligraphy experience.
It was such a wonderful event where everyone had a chance to make stunning Xuan paper and dabble in Chinese calligraphy, under the kind guidance of the team of artists. Truly an incredible experience!

The Spring Festival was successfully listed as a World Heritage Site. The promotional video "Let the Chinese Spring Festival Go to the World" was launched.

The 19th Standing Committee of the UNESCO "Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage" held in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, decided on Wednesday to include "Spring Festival - Chinese people's traditional social practice of celebrating the New Year" in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage released an introduction saying: "In China, the Spring Festival welcomes the beginning of the new year, with the first day of the first lunar month of the traditional calendar as the beginning of the year. Around the Spring Festival, people carry out a series of social practices to bid farewell to the old and usher in the new, pray for blessings and good fortune, celebrate family reunions, and promote community harmony. This celebration is commonly known as the "New Year's Day." In addition to participating in public celebrations, people worship the heavens and the earth and their ancestors, and together worship their elders, relatives, friends and neighbors to express their good wishes. This heritage project provides the Chinese people with a sense of identity and continuity.

So far, China has a total of 44 projects listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List and Register, ranking first in the world. Some of the well-known projects include: Peking Opera (2008 list), Chinese Paper Cutting (2009 list), Twenty-Four Solar Terms (2016) and Tai Chi (2020).
