๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’š Legends game in Holland

This Sunday, October 12, Celtic FC Legends travel to De Kuip to face Legends in the Wim Jansen Cup โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ€

The trophy is, of course, named after the legendary former player and Manager, who sadly passed away in early 2022 and holds iconic status at both clubs.

Following on from the recent Legends match at Celtic Park in September, which saw the Bhoys defeat Manchester United on a penalty shootout, the Celtic Legends side will be back in action for this wonderful occasion, in support of the Feyenoord Foundation.

The Celtic squad will feature Artur Boruc, Lukasz Zaluska, Charlie Mulgrew, Kelvin Wilson, Efe Ambrose, Cristian Gamboa, Lee Naylor, Jonny Hayes, Stiliyan Petrov, Bobby Petta, Ross Wallace, Scott Brown, Barry Robson, Simon Donnelly, Derek Riordan, Georgios Samaras and Scott McDonald. While Glenn Loovens and Pierre Van Hooijdonk will feature for both sides on the day, having spent time at each club during their careers.

The Feyenoord Legends squad will include a number of De Kuip greats, including Nuri ลžahin, Graziano Pellรจ, Salomon Kalou, Johan Elmander, Eljero Elia and Dirk Kuyt.

Feyenoord have now provided a batch of tickets for the away section of the Legends match, priced at ยฃ20 and they are available through the link in the comments.

Dรกithรญ is 8 years old and was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and serious congenital heart condition. He has been on the heart transplant waiting list since 2018, bravely fighting every single day with the love and strength of his family and friends beside him.

Dรกithรญโ€™s journey has inspired thousands, and he has become a powerful voice for organ donation awareness in Ireland. Through his courage and determination, he reminds us all how important it is to have the conversation about organ donation and to consider giving the gift of life.

On this climb, the three of us will take on Croagh Patrick together โ€” for Dรกithรญ, for hope, and for organ donation awareness

In response to issues raised in recent weeks about the Clubโ€™s strategy and operations, we invited representatives of fan groups to meet with Michael Nicholson, Chris McKay and Club executives at Celtic Park and this took place on Monday evening.

It was, and remains, our intention to provide a full minute of the meeting for the interest of the wider fan base. However, with content already being distributed online from the meeting, we are also providing an earlier update.

The Club sought to comment openly on the issues raised to the extent that it is possible to do so, without prejudicing Club operations and confidentiality.

We acknowledged that the Club is not where we want it to be at the moment, that we have not achieved all of our objectives in the summer transfer window and the Champions League, and that mistakes have been made from which we will learn. We recognise the concerns raised, share the frustrations of our supporters and valued the opportunity to hear from supporters last night.

Our immediate objective is to seek to make progress, without negatively impacting on the team on the field of play, and that we continue to focus on delivering success this season.

We intend to issue minutes soon, but outputs from the meeting included a commitment to seek to ensure supporter involvement in meetings with Police Scotland regarding the Fairhurst Report, the review and development of supporter engagement processes, and progressing a new safe standing working group.

The Club offered to continue to meet with supportersโ€™ organisations moving forward and is committed to ongoing dialogue with our wider support. We have always engaged in regular discussions with supporter groups and will continue to do so, with the aim of ensuring that we can work collaboratively and positively in the best interests of our team on the pitch and our Club as a whole.

Career Legacy at Celtic

Miller is fondly remembered as part of Celticโ€™s late 1980s resurgence, contributing crucial goals and assists while playing alongside the likes of Frank McAvennie, Mark McGhee and Andy Walker. He famously declined to celebrate his decisive strike against Rangers before the refereeโ€™s whistle, a moment etched in the folklore of the Old Firm rivalry.

Although his last season saw fewer starts and he eventually moved on in 1993 back to Aberdeen, his status as a cult hero remains secure โ€” and that iconic cup final goal continues to define his legacy.
