2 years ago Dara Quigley took her own life over a video of her walking around the streets of Dublin naked was shared and viewed over 100,000 times.
Dara was a superb journalist and activist, she was a prominent anti-water, anti-austerity activist. She lived to do good for others while also suffering with her own mental health issues.
She was an advocate for freedom of speech and a friend.
This video was recorded and shared by a member of the Garda, to this date no one has been held accountable for this.
The Irish Council for Civil Liberties are calling for legislation on image based violence sexual violence known as revenge p**n.
In the era we now live in this could Dara story can happen to anyone, furthermore Garda are supposed to protect the venerable not record and make fun of one so vulnerable as Dara.
I urge you all to help us fight the good fight and sign this petition, share it with friends, co-workers and family.
