Most businesses fix their website by changing how it looks. New colours, new layout, new photos, a better headline.
But none of that matters if the page hasn't finished loading yet. Once a site takes more than about two and a half seconds, speed becomes the only variable in play, before anyone reads a single word you wrote.
A slow site doesn't lose clients because of bad design. It loses them before design ever gets the chance to work.
If your last update was visual, your next one should be technical.
