Support can be the difference between surviving something… and starting to rebuild after it. 🤍

Conversations like this matter because so many people don’t know what help is actually available or think what they’re experiencing “isn’t bad enough.”

The full episode with Emma Reidy, CEO of Aoibhneas, is out now 🎙️

Today marks 5 years since Jennifer Poole lost her life.

And today… is about who she was.

Not just a headline.
Not just a story people heard.
But a person.

A mother.
A daughter.
A friend.
A woman with a personality, a light, a presence that filled a room.
Someone who was loved deeply… and is missed every single day.

Today is about remembering her for her life,
her energy,
her presence…
and the impact she had on the people around her.

I’m deeply grateful to have been trusted to sit, to listen to her story…
and to share it with so many people in a way that honours who she was and keeps her memory alive.

To her family, her friends, and especially her children.
There are no words for a loss like this.
But she lives on in you, in who you are, and in the love she gave.

I’m thinking of you all today 🤍

We stand with you in remembering her,
in honouring her,
and in continuing to speak her name.

And through your strength, her legacy continues…
not only in memory, but in change.

Let’s continue to support Jennie’s Law
and keep pushing for the awareness and protection every person deserves.

May she always be remembered for who she was.

My name is Katherine Hunt and today I’m sharing a story I never imagined would be mine. Six years ago, I began the fight to reclaim my life from domestic violence. It’s been a long road one filled with fear, doubt, healing, and growth. For years, I carried my story quietly, unsure of when or how to speak it out loud.
But this year, everything changed. I became a mother to a beautiful little girl, and she gave me a new kind of strength. Her presence pushed me to speak out, not only for myself, but for her future. If you’re listening to this someday, my little girl, I want you to know this: sharing my story is healing me, but it’s also for you. I want you to grow up knowing your worth, your power, and that silence should never be a home for pain.
In this episode, I’m opening up about what I went through not because it’s easy, but because no one should feel alone in their own struggle. Domestic violence is often hidden behind closed doors, but the journey out of it deserves to be seen and heard. By telling my story, I hope someone else finds the courage to trust their instincts, reach out for help, and believe that a different life is possible.
This isn’t just a story of what happened to me. It’s a story of resilience, rebuilding, and reclaiming my voice for myself, and for the little girl who made me stronger than I ever knew I could be.
Thank you for being here, and thank you for listening, if I can help one person my story has being worth sharing.

Katherine 🤍
