Thomas Dean Donnelly is returning to Indie Network IN Ireland for 2027! 💚

In Hollywood, pitching stories is part of the job. Novelists, on the other hand? Well, Thomas has some thoughts about how good we are at it… 👀

During his interactive workshop, Thomas will break down the techniques used to turn an entire story into a clear, compelling pitch. Attendees will be encouraged to bring their own story pitch and use what they learn to strengthen it during the session.

Whether you’re pitching to industry professionals or simply trying to answer “What’s your book about?” without explaining all 87 subplots, this is going to be an incredibly practical workshop.

We’re delighted to have Thomas back. For the workshop, obviously. The karaoke is just a bonus 😂

When the feedback says “bring her back”, we listen! 👀

Christina Russell was part of a co-talk at our 2026 show, and we were so impressed by her. The feedback from attendees was incredible too, so we knew we needed to invite her back for a solo session in 2027.

Christina will be looking at productivity a little differently, particularly for neurodivergent creatives 💚

Instead of trying to squeeze your brain into somebody else’s supposedly perfect system, she’ll help attendees understand what genuinely motivates them and how to create systems that work with their brains, projects and lives.

From Post-it notes to personalised tech, this will be a practical session about creating momentum, reducing friction and knowing when a productivity system needs to be changed.

Less blaming yourself. More building something that actually works. 🙌

Scotland, meet us for a coffee? ☕🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We’ll be in Edinburgh and Glasgow this month, and we’d love to meet some of you while we’re there! 💚

This is going to be very casual. Just some authors getting together for coffee, lunch, and a chat 🤩

It is completely free to come along. The only cost is whatever you decide to order on the day, whether that’s a coffee, lunch or something sweet to keep the brain functioning. 🍰

You can register your interest for Edinburgh, Glasgow or both. Registering doesn’t lock you into anything. It simply means we’ll send you the exact time and location closer to the date.

Being an author can feel isolating at times, so come out for an hour or two and spend some time with people who understand the strange little world we work in.
