The life and legacy of Ailis Kennedy, RIP, who passed away just over one year ago, in July 2025, are recalled in this article appearing recently on Wire Service Canada website.

Ailis' father, Nicholas P. Kennedy, was author of several historical novels on Irish themes. The manuscripts were discovered only after his own passing, in 1978. It was Ailis, together with her family who were instrumental in seeing them published, in book form, for the first time in 2023.

Today, we remember Ailis Kennedy, RIP, who died on this day in 2025 – exactly a year ago, in fact.

Ailis worked with us, not too long before her own passing, on the production of her late father's book, The Tragic Isle by N.P. Kennedy.

The manuscript for this book only surfaced later, following her father's passing in 1978. It was she, together with other family members, who were instrumental in getting the book published, for the first time, under the imprint of The Manuscript Publisher in 2023.

The story behind this book, not to mention how it came to be published, is as interesting as the story itself. We can only recommend your reading of it, in order to understand how this may be so, and on so many levels.

In the meantime, we express our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to Ailis' family members and friends, both at this time and for all time thereafter.

An Angel's Sunrise is the third and most recent collection of poetry and verse from Patrick Gately, previously published author of the Moments series: Moments and Life and Moments in Time, published simultaneously in 2024.

The Dublin-based, retired electrician is currently working on his first full-length novel, John Behan meets the Leprechauns, to be published later this year in 2026.
