We are devastated to learn of the death of one of our presenters Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin. She was a mainstay of the station since 2014, and we always looked forward to new episodes of her show popping in to inbox like magic, from wherever she was around the world.

Cómhbhrón ó chroi to her family, and all her friends, of which we know she has multitudes. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís, le bheith fírinneach.

The sudden and unexpected death has taken place in Graz, Austria of the well known traditional singer Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin, in hospital after a short illness. Bríd was raised in Downings but had spent many years in Galway and Graz. She performed in her youth with her siblings in the family band Ceo...

Turntable Stories is a new series exploring vinyl culture. Records have made a resurgence in the last few years and they play a prominent part in music lovers lives once again. Despite all the predictions that digital downloads and streaming would spell their doom, vinyl has staged a stunning comeback since the mid-2000s.

The four episodes will focus on record shops, the festivities of Record Store Day, vibrant record fairs, Irish musicians and DJs and the ecological ramifications of the vinyl revival.
