Luke Clark Golf Welcome to Luke Clark Golf, my journey from a 19.6 handicap to scratch in 365 days. Follow the journey. Join the cause. Let’s make every swing count. 💚

🏌️‍♂️ 365 days to go from 19.6 to scratch.
⛳ Turning every round into a chance to give back.
💚 Founder of Scratch for Good, supporting Mental Health.
📍Golfing, growing, and giving — one shot at a time. This isn’t just about golf; it’s about proving that growth, discipline, and community can create real change. Through Scratch for Good, I’m donating €1 for every shot I finish over par, every round,

all year to support Samaritans Ireland and raise awareness for mental health across Ireland’s golf community. Here you’ll find my practice sessions, on-course challenges, and the highs and lows of chasing scratch. But more importantly, I hope it inspires others to pick up a club, talk openly, and get involved.

Every bad round now costs me twice.

A few weeks ago I lost my job.

The part nobody really talks about isn’t just the money. It’s how quickly you can lose structure, confidence and a sense of who you are when the thing you did every day suddenly disappears.

So instead of sitting still, I made a decision.

I’m treating golf like my 9 to 5 while I rebuild the next chapter of my career.

Not as escapism.
Not as a holiday.
As structure.

Practice.
Gym work.
Recovery.
Competitive rounds.
Content.
Applications.
Repeat.

Back in October 2025, I set myself a challenge:
Go from a 19 handicap to scratch in one year.

That became Scratch for Good:
€1 donated for every shot over par during my competitive rounds, with all proceeds going to Samaritans Ireland in October 2026.

The ironic part?
Losing my income somehow made the challenge feel even more real.

Now every bad round costs me financially, mentally, and competitively.

But maybe that pressure is the point.

So I’m documenting all of it:
The golf.
The rebuild.
The setbacks.
The job hunt.
The discipline.
The mental side of starting over.

If you’re in a rebuilding season too, welcome along.
