One in three people killed or seriously injured on Irish roads this year have been under the age of 30, according to new figures from An Garda Síochána. With the Easter Bank Holiday weekend approaching, Gardaí and the RSA are renewing calls for caution particularly among young drivers.

So far in 2025, 48 lives have been lost, with young passengers, drivers and pedestrians making up a significant portion of the victims.
