Why was Data Centre Awareness formed?
In 2026, we know far more about the impact of large-scale data centres from their huge electricity and water demands to their effects on infrastructure, the environment, noise and emissions.

With plans emerging for another Microsoft data centre, potentially larger than the Herbata facility approved in 2025, we believe local residents deserve to be heard.

Data Centre Awareness was formed to give our community a collective voice and ensure our elected representatives listen to the people they represent.
