For many years, Margaret took enormous pride in her role, keeping St Mary’s looking spotless and welcoming for generations of pupils, staff and visitors.

Having experienced St Mary’s as a pupil, a parent, a grandparent and a staff member, Patricia REGAN’s connection to the school is truly unique. Her years of service have made a lasting impact on generations of children and families, and she remains a much-loved part of school life.

Sister Immaculata was a good friend. If you had a problem she would always have time to hear it. The first time Sister came in the door she told a joke and everyone started to laugh (everyone needs a good laugh). I remember when she was in the middle of Maths she would start telling a story about when she was little. When she was leaving everyone hid under their desks and a man delivered a big bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates. Then when Sister came in everyone jumped up from their desks and gave her a big surprise. We still miss her.

Sister always spent half the day telling us stories of when she was young. She was very nice and helped us when we needed it. I liked it when she taught History and Geography because she made it worth listening to and learning about. She showed us that even though we were in a very boring school that it could be fun. That's how I remember Sister!!
