Another season of The Dugout is complete!

Huge thanks to all of the clubs, players and coaches that allowed me to share a part of their season this year.

It's always a pleasure getting to meet new clubs and people and I'm already planning ahead for season 3.

It's been a great season off the pitch as well with the launch of The Dugout Drive Podcast and becoming a brand ambassador for Playr-Fit Teamwear

Episode 3 is live!

Brian Henning is a popular figure in the football scene around Newry and Mourne

A larger than life character, he has played for and managed Damolly FC for the majority of his footballing career.

Brian and myself became co-managers of Damolly FC in the 23/24 season - which culminated in a first league promotion and cup win for the first time in over 10 years of the clubs history.

We talk about life in Division 1 for Damolly after back to back promotions

That eventful season with us at the helm and our experiences.

Manager and captain clash 🤯

For episode 3 of The Dugout Drive I am joined by former Damolly player and manager Brian Henning.

Me and Brian were co managers of Damolly FC in a successful promotion and trophy winning season.

This was a deep and personal conversation talking about the highs and lows of managing clubs at this level including a bust up with star player James Magowan in a title deciding day before going onto lift the league cup together only days later.

The best of the Mid Ulster go head to head

Intermediate A & B champions Moneyslane Football Club and Bourneview Mill FC took part in this year's MUFL Marshall Cup Final Mid Ulster Football League Mid Ulster Football Association

I joined forces this game with i4 sport

Stuart and I4 Sport have long shined a light on our local game - he was a big inspiration for myself in starting The Dugout and the service and coverage he provides for local clubs is absolutely incredible. Not only is his content of the local game the best about, Stuart is a top fella - from the early creation of The Dugout he has always been available for offering advice and encouragement as we both travel about the country covering the best of amateur football in Northern Ireland - if you aren't following him already, make sure you do!

Charity game for the Evora Hospice

Playr-Fit Teamwear annual charity match between themselves and a select 11 to represent the Evora Hospice

All participants made a donation to the hospice, supporting the incredible work they do in our community. 💙

The match also marks the official launch of their Annual Business 5 event, kicking off on Friday 5th June.

Congratulations to Woodvale FC on winning the league in a thrilling 1st vs 2nd battle against St Marys FC

Woodvale dedicated victory to player Billy-Joe McQuiston who suffered a serious injury at the start of the game.
