In advance of release day tomorrow we are delighted to welcome BasicGuy Marko to the label 🙏

Basic Guy (Marko Valentić) was born in 1983 in Osijek, Croatia. From an early age, he showed a strong connection to music, initially exploring melodies through the guitar and other traditional instruments. As the electronic music scene began to rise in the 1990s, he found himself increasingly drawn to its futuristic and boundary-pushing sounds.

His first meaningful encounter with electronic music came through TV channels like MTV and VIVA, where he discovered influential artists across Trance, Techno, and House. The energy, emotion, and atmosphere of those genres left a lasting impression, sparking a deep passion that would shape his creative path. By the late '90s, he was a regular on the dancefloor, immersing himself in the culture and sound that would become a defining part of his identity.

The desire to create his own music simmered for years before taking shape in 2011, when he began producing. His early work was experimental, a process of searching for a signature sound - something personal, expressive, and unmistakably his. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, space exploration, and countless nights lost in music, he began to develop a darker, hypnotic sonic identity. Life itself, with all its complexity and rhythm, also became a key influence.

Today, Basic Guy focuses primarily on Progressive House and Techno. His mission is clear: to craft music that is powerful, groovy, and distinct - music that resonates deeply and offers listeners a unique experience. Staying true to the spirit of the underground scene that first inspired him, he continues to push creative boundaries with every release.

We are back at on June 1st of the bank holiday weekend with what promises to be an absolute BELTER of a night!

We have label boss and Amber Nights head honcho kicking things off with a b2b set before the amazingly talented and label regular .music treats us to a live set.
A man that has been there from the start of Amber Nights and who always blows us away with his sets takes over from there with the unstoppable (and another big big part of Amber Nights) finishing the night out with what we garauntee will be an absolute banger from one of the finest around 👌
