My social media advice for you this week 🗣️

👉🏻 Social media platforms are being used as search emgines nowadays
👉🏻 Reels and Carousels are both great for different reasons
👉🏻 Use keywords as much as possible
👉🏻 Stop the scroll by getting people’s attention in the first three seconds
👉🏻 Make your content shareable

At the end of the day it’s YOUR social media. There is so much social media advice online it can overwhelming and daunting. If you’re posting regularly then you’re already winning!

💬 It measures how they react

If I could tell you one thing to post this weekend it would be…

A carousel 👏

A carousel post is the one you swipe through! You can add up to 20 slides using both photos and videos.

Why does it work so well you ask??

Because it keeps people on your post for longer, which increases the chances of Instagram pushing it out to more people.

An easy carousel idea is a weekly or monthly dump.

Choose some photos/videos from the last few weeks and add text in-app on each slide. Try to make it engaging and tell a story so people stay until the last slide.

Ask yourself - would I comment, save or share this post?

People love content that feels real, casual and easy to connect with. It doesn’t always have to be perfectly curated or too complicated 👀

My April highlights and the reality behind them…

Don’t get me wrong, I am SO grateful for all the opportunities April brought and to be so busy, but sometimes the online world is so polished that I don’t want to post the reality behind the scenes… even though I know I’d probably find comfort seeing someone else admit things aren’t always perfect.

April was busy busy busy, but it taught me sooo many lessons:

1. it’s okay to say no
2. don’t bite off more than you can chew
3. you need time away from work to stay sane
4. an email isn’t the same as being chased by a bear
5. Instagram isn’t always reality

I started my business with basically no plan, so as things have gotten busier, I’ve been more reactive than proactive. So instead of an April recap full of just the “highlights,” this feels more like a reflection on how I can actually enjoy this all a bit more ✨✨

Grateful for growth, but learning that growth without boundaries isn’t sustainable!!

And yes… I am posting an April recap in the middle of May 😂

Did you know this about carousels? 🧠

Carousel posts (the ones you slide through) are doing extremely well at the moment, not just because of the algorithm but because of Neuroscience!

We’re wired to seek, not just scroll. And when content gives us control over how we move through it, we stay longer without even thinking about it.

That’s the shift from posting information ➡️ to creating something people participate in.

Once you see it that way, you don’t build posts the same again.
