Congratulations Mr & Mrs Byrne! 🤵💜👰‍♀️ 2 weeks today! What a wonderful celebration we had at Barrow House in Tralee 🥂💐 with stunning views of Tralee Bay! 🌊

Walking under an archway covered in grapevines, the bride’s ceremony aisle was a pier that juts out from the walled garden and over the sea. With beautiful flowers adorning the ceremony space, the rain held off, and the bride and I juggled things around on the spot to move the Marriage Registration Form signing inside as the weather changed 📗 A great example of how flexible ceremonies can be! 🤹‍♂️

This fabulous couple included a ring warming💍 and also lit a Departed Candle for the bride’s mother 🕯 Waiting for guests after the ceremony was Olwyn to do your illustration - a bit like one of those caricature street artists except Olwyn’s really good! 😊 🎨

The couple went with content creator Amy — a new trend that is really gaining in popularity peeps, and Amy’s slick reels prove it 🤳

It was lovely to be working with Natalie Maher again who takes really brilliant photos, and came to the bride’s rescue when she needed a makeup touch-up — talk about multi-tasking! 🤩

✨ What a wonderfully amazing family celebration for this funny, honest, down to earth couple, who deserve the best day in a magical setting — and they got that, complete with so many butterflies! 🦋

It’s such an honour to stand with couples on their wedding day and guide them through their ceremony. Grateful for every love story I get to be part of 💍✨💜

Congratulations Mr & Mrs O’Donahue! This gorgeous couple flew all the way from Los Angeles, USA to Killarney, Co Kerry for their ceremony at Muckross Park Hotel 🇺🇸 🇮🇪

This was a special journey for the groom, whose father was from Killarney, but never managed to make the trip to Ireland before his passing. This was the reason that Killarney was chosen for the ceremony, and the couple brought some earth from Los Angeles with them to mix with some from Killarney to symbolise the coming together — finally — of these two elements of the groom’s heritage 🍀

Family from L.A. made the trip to be with the couple on the day, and it was a joy to soak up their happy and loving energy! 💜

The groom’s young son was best man and his daughter maid of honour. They also both gave fabulous readings.

We lit an ancestral candle for the groom’s father which burned throughout the ceremony.

⭐️Unfortunately, the bride left her veil all the way back in Los Angeles! She was devastated, until Maura of Maura’s Cottage Flowers, came to the rescue and a crisis was averted. When the couple were with Maura choosing their flowers, Maura made a beautiful crown of flowers for the bride which looked simply stunning. The couple were beyond grateful for this gesture⭐️

The day marked not only the coming together of this couple and their families, but also a new family with the bride, groom and the groom’s children. This, and the fact that their families had travelled to Ireland on this journey with them, were the things the couple had asked to convey most during the ceremony.

This small corner of Ireland will forever be connected to their forever lives in L.A. - until they visit us again 🇺🇸 🇮🇪

Welcome to the world baby Teddy! 👶💙

What a wonderful ceremony we had at St George’s in Mitchelstown, surrounded by lots of Teddy’s family and friends, all ready to take on the responsibility of making sure this delightful little soul gets the best start he can in life.

Teddy had no problem being the star of this show, sitting on his parents knee, only occasionally making a few happy noises 🤗

Teddy’s parents lit a blue candle for him 🕯 and we also included a sand pouring ceremony with coloured sand into a pretty glass frame, which when finished resembled rolling hills.

Included in a baby naming ceremony is the formal naming of the child, promises from his parents (similar to wedding vows) and promises from his Guide Parents or Guardians (like god parents). We also included in this ceremony collective promises from Teddy’s guests (that included helping Teddy to support Cork Senior Hurling and keeping Liverpool in the premier league 😉).

A deconsecrated church 💒 St George’s is now a wonderful arts and heritage centre. My thanks to Bill and Andrew for being super helpful on the day.

St George’s was deconsecrated in 2017 and is over 220 years old. Lovingly restored, there is no other venue like it in County Cork for ceremonies.

St George’s magnificent organ is one of the oldest in Ireland, and can be played by arrangement at your ceremony. Their 130 year old bell can be also rung during your ceremony - that chimes with me! 🔔

Inside St George’s has been kept to its original state as much as possible with pews to sit on and gorgeous stained glass windows to gaze at.

Proceeds of ceremonies go to the St George’s restoration fund.

👶A really wonderful and happy day for an incredibly gorgeous baby with the most lovely parents who were a joy to work with 👨‍👩‍👦💙 Congratulations mom, dad, grandparents, great grandparents and Guardians — send lots of treasures to this darling baby’s future 💝✨☀️

Today I attended the state commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the birth of ‘Agitator’ Daniel O’Connell 🇮🇪 at Derrynane House.

In my capacity as an interfaith Minister with futurfaith it was great to meet up with Lorraine, Keith and Conor - this time in the Kingdom! 👑 and have a catch-up on all things ceremonial 👸

Taoiseach Michael Martin, Minister Norma Foley, Senator Mark Daly and Michael Healy Rae were also in attendance. I learned that Daniel O’Connell was good friends with abolitionist Frederick Douglass - they had a lot in common 🧐

Very honoured to be part of an occasion like this - the last time probably being when I obtained citizenship 🇮🇪 Thank you to FuturFaith for facilitating this amazing opportunity 🤩

It’s always great to see a ceremony through the eyes of a talented photographer 📷 and Trevor O’Donoghue really captured Ewelina & Justin’s wedding at Sheen Falls Lodge💜

From quiet moments to the reactions in the crowd, these images reflect what it felt like to be in the room: focused, warm, and full of love 👰‍♀️💍🤵

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Quigley! 🥂👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️

What a hot, hot, hot day we had at The Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the hottest day of the year in fact at a whopping 28 degrees! 🥵☀️

We kept our cool and carried on amongst the formal gardens of the old Royal Hospital in Dublin, now a fabulous events venue 🎉

Inspiration for the ceremony came from the groom who was from Dublin and the bride who was from Sweden 🇮🇪 🇸🇪 and they met in London 🇬🇧

This couple share a great love of music and we were serenaded at various points in the ceremony by the fabulous Leah Jordan who played a total of seven songs that were special to the bride and groom 🎶 We also had a reading by the bride’s sisters, two versions of the same poem - one in English and one in Swedish.

It was an immense pleasure working with this couple, who arranged everything with the help of their cat Percy from their flat in Maida Vale, London 😊 No one could have anticipated the 28 degree heat! but blue skies made for fab photos ☀️What a great start to their never-ending story 👰‍♀️💜🤵
