The death has occurred of Padraig Doran, Howth, Dublin

Doran, Padraig –1st of July 2025. (Howth). Peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital. Adored son of the late Michael and Muriel. Fantastic brother to Michéal, Eileen, Siobhán, Angela, Sean and predeceased by his sister, Clodagh. Sadly missed by his niece, Alana, his nephews, Jamie and Stephen and his grand-nephews, Oisin, Kian and Naoise, also by his friends in the Irish Fishing community, extended family, friends and neighbours.



Reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Friday the 4th of July from 3pm to 5pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Howth, on Saturday morning the 5th of July for 11.00am Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Dardistown cemetery at 1pm.

The death has occurred of Tadhg Gallagher, Church Road, Killybegs, Co. Donegal and Gallagher Bros. (Fish Merchants) Ltd. Peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his family.



Predeceased by his parents Jack and Maud, brothers Phelim, Jackie, Michael and Patrick, nephews Jack, Paul, Michael, Barry, Philip and Grandchild Maria Anna.



Sadly missed by his beloved wife Sheila and cherished children Susan, Marc and David, Son-in-law PJ, daughters-in-law Ailbhe and Evelyn, Brothers Frank and Eamon, Sisters Mai and Anne, Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A dear grandfather to Michael, Adam, Matthew, Finn, Jake, Liam, Eva, Lily and Maggie.



Remains reposing at his residence on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon - 8pm. House private at all other times. Funeral mass on Thursday 1st May at 11am in St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Charles George (Charlie) Lunny Derrymihan, Castletownbere, Cork

Retired Sea Captain and Principal of BIM Training Centre, Derrymihan, Castletownbere, Co.Cork & Craigneuk, Scotland on the 16th March 2025 peacefully in the loving care of the staff in Bantry General Hospital, and previously in the exceptional care of staff of Castletownbere Community Hospital, and in the loving care of his wife Moira and his Home Helps, Charles George (Charlie).

Beloved husband of Moira Cameron, and brother of Josephine (Jones), Patricia (Love), Kate (Esson), and the late John, Jacqueline, and Maureen.

Reposing in Harringtons Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Tuesday (18th) from 5pm to 6.30pm followed by prayers.

A Cremation service will take place in The Island Crematorium in Ringaskiddy at 12 midday on Wednesday (19th).

On March 6th peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Marymount University Hospital after a short illness. Son of the late James and Mary and Brother of the late James(Jnr) and Ann(Walsh). Sadly missed by his loving family, sons Vincent and Gavin, their mother Catherine, Annie, daughter-in-law Ann-Marie, grandchildren Polly and Lucy, brothers and sisters Michael, Richard, John, Joseph and Mary, nephews, nieces, wives, grand nephews, grand nieces, relatives, neighbours and large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of George Gallagher, Fanaghan, Inver. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday 19th February 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Ann and his beloved daughter Breda, brothers Peter and Johnny.

Beloved husband to Bridget, dear father of John (Teresa), Seoirse (Marie), Michael (Marie), Catriona (Joe), Sheila (Paul) and son-in-law Karol.

He will be sadly missed by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Patricia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (Eircode F94XO2N) on Thursday 20th February from 2pm until 8pm.

Wake at the family home (Eircode F94AC60) on Friday 21st February from 12 noon until 9pm.
Removal from there on Saturday 22nd February at 10:30am, going to St Nauls Church, Ardaghey for 11am funeral Mass, followed by burial in St Nauls Cemetery, Ardaghey. Family home private on the morning of the funeral.

There will be a one way system in operation during the wake, entering at Inver Crossroads and exit at Fanaghan. Parking will be provided at Inver village. There will be limited parking at the family home.

The death has occurred of pioneering fisherman and vessel owner Seamus Tully Killybegs, Co Donegal peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family.

Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Very sadly missed by his beloved wife, Kathleen, and much loved by daughters Carmel, Marie, Rosaleen and Claire. Adored grandfather of Thomas, Niamh, James and Meabh.

Reposing at his home Ardglas, Fintra Road, Killybegs on Sunday 9th February from 2pm-6pm and Monday, 10th February from 2pm-6pm.

Removal (house private) on Tuesday morning 11th February to St Mary of the Visitation church, Killybegs for 12pm Funeral Mass.

MICHAEL (Mick).

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael (Mick) Martin-Sullivan at his home, Retired Fisherman and RNLI Volunteer.

Sorely missed by his heartbroken wife Mary with whom he started his voyage over 50 years ago. Loving father to Aisling, Micheál, Killian & Rachel, as well as his sons-in-law Derek and Evan, daughter-in-law Elaine, and Killian’s partner Martina.
Adored by his precious grandchildren: Donncha, Rhys, Sadie, Isla, JD, Joey, Holly & Róisín. His siblings, Patrick, Margaret, Jim, Evelyn and Joe, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews and the wider Martin-Sullivan and Holland families. Our many wonderful neighbours, friends and crew of the RNLI Annette Hutton & MFV Sea Spray.

An incredible cook, gardener, avid walker, and adventurer, Mick cherished his Camino walks in Spain, embracing life’s journeys with enthusiasm, along with his devoted wife Mary.

“When we started the voyage, there was just me and you, Now gathered round us, we have our own crew”.

Reposing in Harringtons Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Wednesday (20th) from 4.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to his home,HOUSE PRIVATE.

Requiem mass will take place at 11am on Thursday (21st) in The Church Of The Sacred Heart, Castletownbere.

Funeral cortège will leave Michael’s home at approximately 10.30am.

Michael will make his final journey around the pier and past the RNLI station after mass before cremation in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.

Family flowers only. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the Castletownbere RNLI will be greatly appreciated.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, sons Ruedi, David, Daniel and Brian, his daughters Heidi and Marianne, sister Hannelore (GR.), his daughter-in-law Amanda, sons in law Chris and Joseph, his grandchildren Andrew, Alan, Christopher, Rebecca, Ultan, Jack, and his great grandchild Ashling, all his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
