HEALY TAKES YELLOW ON BASTILLE DAY:
Ireland has its fourth ever yellow jersey wearer after Ben Healy finished third today on stage 10 of . It means an Irishman goes into race lead for the 1st time since 1987 when Stephen Roche won the race! Healy leads Pogecar by 29 seconds. He won stage 6 too. Cork's Eddie Dunbar finished 4th on stage 6 but crashed later in the race and unfortunately had to pull out of . Recover well Eddie!

US TAKEOVER OF COBH RAMBLERS:
Cobh Ramblers have scored new owners after a Miami-based group took a 90% stake in the club. Digital Athlete Ventures has this morning been announced as the new owners. According to a press release, the goal of the takeover was long-term stability.
Cobh Ramblers announced the end of FC32, which took control of the first division side in October last week with the club the club currently second in the table after significant investment in the squad.

MUNSTER'S FINEST IN TRAD TO FACE OFF AT MTU:
Four days of vibrant traditional music competitions will kick off at MTU’s Cork campus next week as part of the wider Munster Fleadh 2025 festival. From 16-19 July, Fleadh Cheoil na Mumham (Munster Fleadh Cheoil) competitions will take place on MTU’s Bishopstown campus in Cork city. 🎤🎹🪘🪗🪕🎻

KELLEHER PAYS TRIBUTE TO CLOSE FRIEND JOTA:
Cork goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher has paid tribute to one of his “closest friends in football” Diogo Jota, who died yesterday in a car crash in Spain. The former Liverpool player was at Jota’s wedding less than two weeks ago. Jota and his younger brother, Andre Silva, died in a car accident in Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Posting on Instagram, Kelleher said: “I feel so blessed and grateful to have seen you on your happiest day, the day of your wedding and to be able to share in that day with you was special. I'll never forget it. You were deeply loved by everyone at the club, the city and all over the world. It's gonna hurt for a long time and I'm gonna miss you so much but I feel so lucky to have got to know you and have such a good friend. Love you Diogo.” 💔

EVERYONE ASKED TO DON A CHEF'S HAT FOR FUNDRAISER:
Restaurants in Cork city and Kinsale launched a campaign called One Plate for Palestine, aimed at raising funds for people in Palestine facing severe hunger and hardship. The campaign will take place from Mon 22-Sun 27 July and will bring together food businesses across Ireland from restaurants & cafés to food trucks and pubs in a united effort to raise at least €25,000. 🍽🇵🇸
