Shadowplay returns this afternoon for the penultimate show on RTÉ 2XM, as we continue the final run before the station closes December 31st.

From 4–5pm, The Final Descent: Best of Shadowplay brings together the tracks that have defined the show over the years with the classics, the modern favourites, and the sounds I always came back to.

I’ll be with you live on RTÉ 2XM from 4pm.
I’d love you to join me for second last time 🖤

This week’s Shadowplay was the second in our final four shows on RTÉ 2XM, and if you missed it, you can listen back now via the app or website! 🎧

We took a moment to celebrate the community, the listeners, the artists, the gigs and spaces that have made this scene what it is, and to reflect on the connections that kept Shadowplay alive over the years. Thank you to everyone who shared stories, sent messages, or simply tuned in.

The journey isn’t over yet. Join me for the penultimate show this Sunday, 21st December, 4-5pm for The Final Descent: Best of Shadowplay: a high-energy mix of the tracks that defined the show, from the classics to the modern, played loud and proud:)

This Sunday’s Shadowplay is the fourth last show on RTÉ 2XM as the station prepares to close at the end of December.
It’s strange to think that after so many years of sharing the music I love, the goth, industrial, darkwave, post punk and everything in between, we’re now counting down the final few broadcasts.

Over these last four weeks, I’ll be taking the show on a small journey: looking back at the roots, the community, the classics, and finally the farewell.
Today we start at the beginning, with the foundations, the tracks and artists that shaped the atmosphere and identity of Shadowplay from day one.

Thank you to everyone who’s listened, supported, messaged, requested songs, or simply tuned in quietly and kept the shadows company.
This show has meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful we get to share these last episodes together.

Shadowplay with Laura Lee-Conboy, Sundays 4 to 5 pm on RTÉ 2XM.
I hope you’ll join me for the final run.
