Immersion aims to be an exemplar of this mindset through our Climate Immersion Fellowship consisting of 10 creative forces from across the island and across disciplines

In July 2024, the Immersion project held a week-long series of activities for as Climate Immersion Fellowship cohort. Held at the wonderful Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway, the week consisted of learning about immersive tech and nature-based creative practice.

Climate Immersion looks to support creatives in Ireland to engage with the public around the topics of climate change, environmental degradation and biodiversity loss and support the development of their competencies in creating cutting-edge immersive experiences. 🌍

The two year fellowship programme will see 6 successful candidates engage in a series of activities over 2024 and 2025.

Activities will include workshops with climate and biodiversity experts and immersive storytelling experts, working retreats and engagement with community groups.

The simple answer is no - commitment to learning and a basic understanding of environmental issues is much more important than huge insight.
