That’s a wrap on THE UNREAL Season 2 and what fun we had bringing Rodney Lee’s script to life. Brilliant to hang out with familiar faces and welcome new members into the unreal universe. Thanks to our phenemonal cast and crew for giving it their all and bringing the craic every single day. Thanks also to the gorgeous team at Ardgillan Castle - Skerries, Ireland for your hospitality and patience. We can’t wait to bring this to your screens!

In search of an old fashioned OVERHEAD PROJECTOR to buy 💰 for a project - it’s for keeps, not a loan - it does NOT need to work as we’ll be replacing the light and removing the fan and motor etc.

Any leads pls post in comments or DM!
Many thanks!

Dyehouse Films is now casting the next group of enthusiastic young explorers & filmmakers to take part in this returning series where Irish children with connections in faraway lands, bring a Journeycam on their travels to document how they explore their heritage, as well as the cultural and family connections they have in foreign places.

🇮🇪 Are you a curious child between the ages of 8-13 years with family living abroad?
🇮🇪 Do you have family connections in a place where life is very different to life in Ireland?
🇮🇪 Would you like use the JourneyCam to share something of what life is like in another land and show us all about the culture, food, music, games and festivals which are celebrated there?

How to Apply:

👉 Tell us all about the faraway place you have a connection with.
👉 If you’ve been there before, share your favourite travel experience or cultural encounter.
👉 What interesting, surprising or unusual things would you like to show the JourneyCam?

IRISH TIMES REVIEW

“The Unreal juxtaposes the old Ireland of púcaí and fairy forts with the modern one of too much screen time and depression among middle-aged men who don’t know what purpose they serve to either their family or society. That’s a fascinating mix, and if it’s “only” kids’ entertainment, how encouraging nevertheless to encounter an RTÉ production that isn’t another home-repair show or nordic-noir rip-off.”

Thanks for the review Ed Power. We’ll take “nerd chic” as the highest compliment.

All episodes now available on RTÉ Player if you’re brave enough

Television: The story’s púca, an ancient spirit who escapes from an old VHS tape, is genuinely creepy, a kid’s mascot as reimagined by Clive Barker
