🇮🇪 Irish Pony Squad named 🇮🇪

Sue Shortt has named her squad for the FEI Eventing European Championship for Ponies, taking place in Le Mans, France from July 28 to August 3, 2025.

The combinations selected are:
Tadgh O’Haire with Ballinagore Hero
Kitty Cullen with either Coppenagh Spring Sparrow (ISH) or Greenaun Russel (CP)
Sophie Swain with Here Comes Trouble (ISH)
Anna Radford with Essenar Double Dutch (ISH)
Hugh Kelly with Fairyhouse In A Pickle (ISH)
Suzie Cosgrove with Kilcoltrim Swift

Last look around the amazing CHIO Aachen campus, which was unusually quiet this morning as most were taking refuge from the rain, which was just starting, while waiting for the Grand Prix to start. This is going to be the ultimate venue for the 2026 World Equestrian Games, last held here in 2006, and we for one can't wait to be back for it.

CHIO Aachen, Laura Kraut and the 9 year old Emeraldo 4 win the 1.50m this afternoon in very challenging conditions, after a day of blistering heat, the weather took an about turn with monsoon like rain, high winds that blew fences over, lightening that lit the arena like a massive strobe and thunder that shook the grandstands. Laura was last to go before the competition was suspended and when it resumed almost an hour and a half later, no one was able to match the pace that Laura and Emeraldo4 set.
