Our first book, Ireland - in a new light is really taking off. So far we have had sales in USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand as well as UK and Ireland and many parts of Europe.(One in Austria yesterday!) A revision is due next month with a movie intro and more web links. Here is a shot of an erratic in County Down, The Cloughmore Stone. Legend claims that Finn McCool, the Irish giant, threw it at an enemy from the Cooley Mountains in adjoining County Louth.

Gap of Dunloe, Killarney, County Kerry (6 photos)
On the first weekend in September last year I travelled down to Kerry to photograph the Glenbeigh Races. On the Saturday night I parked my camper van at the Gap of Dunloe and at 7am I set out to walk and photograph the Gap. At this time in the morning it is before the pony & traps with only the odd jogger and cyclist around.
This must be one of the most beautiful short walks in Ireland.

If you look very carefully you will see a road running through the centre of the aerial photogrph. It runs between Clifden and the Twelve Pins in Connemara. No matter what time of year you drive along this road it will astound you.

If the sun comes out the first ten days of November are the most wonderful for for autumn photographs. It is that time just before the darkness of winter sets in and it can be the most satisfying for photography and the soul.
This shot was taken at Killary harbour at the mouth of the Erriff River on the Mayo Galway border.
It is the first page on my new eBook (with Colin McCadden) "Ireland - In a New Light"
