The latter half of the day heard an in-depth discussion on how the animation is evolving to adapt to shifts and trends within the industry, encompassing the streaming surge, difficulties accessing finance and distribution, and how animating for children has become “so much more than throwing a good story up”.
Méabh McGovern sat down with Patty Henry Robinson, who shared her story on how she grew from being paid to guard Tom Hank’s parking space and assisting on the set of Kenan & Kel, to becoming Vice President of Production at Nickelodeon Animation!
Artificial Intelligence was brought to the fore during our final panel, where industry experts discussed the impact of the AI revolution, and how to find the balance between creativity, legality and sustainability in this new technological age.
