Was there ever really any doubt?

I mean, when was the last time you saw a dog pull off a fedora quite like this? 😎

Update from Indiana Bones following my deeply traumatic “test holiday”.

First of all, I actually had an excellent time which is unfortunate for the narrative I’m trying to build. There were loads of dogs to play with. I met Sparky and Freeway. Sparky lived up to his name and brought a lot of chaotic energy to the friendship, whereas Freeway really matched my vibe.

Although I do need to discuss something deeply inappropriate that happened upon arrival. Freeway attempted to sit in the arms of my mammy. The one who feeds me. Naturally I had to immediately sit in his mammy’s arms to establish boundaries, dominance, and emotional consequences. He understood the message.

I also made it very clear during my stay that I require:
• regular human affection
• elevated seating arrangements
• acknowledgement of my beauty
• and preferably a seat at the table so I can supervise everyone properly

Yes, I went to the beach. Yes, I got to run around outside and make friends. But I would ask everyone to remain focused on the important issue here which is that I was abandoned for two whole nights.

Now that I’m home, I have taken sensible precautions to ensure this never happens again. I have surgically attached myself to the one who feeds me and have secured my own pillow in the littlest human’s bed. I will not be discussing crates at this time.

I would just like everyone to know that I have now entered my “Victorian orphan” era because breakfast was approximately four minutes later than I had personally planned.

The humans keep saying things like “you were literally just fed” and “that’s not starvation, Indy” but I think we should all focus on the emotional impact rather than technicalities.

Also, whoever said puppies sleep all day has clearly never met me. I’m actually very busy:
• supervising every movement in the house
• conducting random zoomies
• attempting advanced counter-surfing research
• and maintaining this face full-time

The smallest human thinks we’re best friends, which is true as long as he understands that all toys are legally mine once touched.

Anyway, if anyone needs me, I’ll be recovering dramatically from this hardship while wrapped in a blanket I wasn’t supposed to have.

Apparently I’m also being sent on my “test holidays” for two nights next week which, from what I understand, is a corporate way of saying I am being abandoned.

The humans keep calling it “good socialisation” and “building confidence” but personally I think if they loved me enough they would simply never leave the house again.

I’ve been told there will be other dogs there, enrichment activities, cuddles and professional care, but honestly that’s not the point. The point is the emotional betrayal.

Please respect my privacy at this difficult time while I prepare for my little wellness retreat against my will.
