Our fundamental values are the three principles of Zionism, as outlined by Zeev Jabotinsky: immigration, the protection of our homeland, and the settlement of the Jewish people in the land of Israel. We support our army (IDF) and law enforcement officers working to eradicat

e Palestinian terrorism and fighting crime to ensure Israelis' personal safety. We believe Jerusalem is the indisputable capital of Israel and that ALL Israeli citizens, including Israeli Arabs, should be loyal to the State of Israel. We support Olim (new immigrants to Israel), especially those from the former Soviet Union. We believe that the expansion of the representation of Russian-speaking Jews in the World Zionist Congress will strengthen their positions and allow them to influence the future of the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

On this day in 1975, Israel and Egypt signed the Sinai Interim Agreement, ending the state of war between the two countries. The accord opened the Suez Canal to Israeli civilian ships and marked a turning point on the long road from confrontation to dialogue.

For us, it is a reminder that Israel is not only a nation capable of defending itself on the battlefield — we are also a nation that seeks peace, even with those who once raised arms against us. The strength to fight and the courage to reconcile are both parts of our identity.

В этот день в 1975 году Израиль и Египет подписали промежуточное соглашение о Синае, завершившее состояние войны между странами. Суэцкий канал открылся для прохода израильских гражданских судов, а само соглашение стало поворотным моментом на пути от конфликта к диалогу.

Для нас это напоминание: Израиль — страна, умеющая постоять за себя на поле боя, но также страна, которая стремится к миру, даже с теми, кто вчера был нашим врагом. Сила воевать и мужество примиряться — это неотъемлемые стороны нашей идентичности.

On August 27, 1902, the first legal conference of Russian Zionists concluded in Minsk.

For several days, more than 500 delegates and about 200 guests openly discussed the future of the Jewish people and the path towards national revival. It was a turning point: for the first time, Jews of the Russian Empire could legally gather to speak about Hebrew schools, cultural autonomy, and the Basel Program.

Minsk briefly became the capital of Russian Zionism — a place where vision turned into movement, and ideas of return to Zion took political form.

This forgotten milestone reminds us that our path to statehood was built step by step, with courage and unity.

27 августа 1902 года в Минске завершилась первая легальная конференция русских сионистов.

Несколько дней более 500 делегатов и около 200 гостей открыто обсуждали будущее еврейского народа и путь к национальному возрождению. Это был переломный момент: впервые евреи Российской империи смогли легально собраться, чтобы говорить о школах на иврите, культурной автономии и Базельской программе.

Минск на несколько дней стал столицей русского сионизма — местом, где мечта превращалась в движение, а идеи возвращения на Сион получали политическую форму.

Это забытое событие напоминает нам: путь к государственности строился шаг за шагом, благодаря мужеству и единству.

The initial decision of the Toronto International Film Festival to cancel the screening of Barry Avrich’s documentary about Major General Noam Tibon and his heroic actions on October 7 was nothing short of shameful. Hiding behind excuses about “copyright permissions” for Hamas footage was a transparent political maneuver. To censor the memory of October 7 is to side with those who wish to erase Jewish suffering.

We salute the Toronto Jewish community, which stood up and organized an alternative public screening, showing that Jewish memory cannot be silenced. Under public pressure, the festival eventually reinstated the film. The spoons were found, but the bitter aftertaste remains.

"World Israel Beytenu" stands firmly with the filmmakers, with Canadian Jewry, and with all who defend truth against cowardice. October 7 must not — and will not — be forgotten.

Изначальное решение международного кинофестиваля в Торонто отменить показ документального фильма Барри Айверича о генерал-майоре Ноаме Тибоне и его героических действиях 7 октября — позорное. Отговорки о «разрешениях на кадры ХАМАС» были лишь прикрытием для политической цензуры. Стереть память о 7 октября — значит встать на сторону тех, кто хочет вычеркнуть еврейские страдания.

Мы выражаем уважение еврейской общине Торонто, которая организовала альтернативный массовый показ и доказала: память о еврейской боли и стойкости не заглушить. Под давлением общественности фестиваль вернул фильм в программу. Ложки нашлись, но осадок остался.

"Бейтену Олами" стоит рядом с создателями фильма, с еврейской общиной Канады и со всеми, кто защищает правду от трусости. 7 октября нельзя — и не удастся — стереть.

Canada, under its current leadership is orchestrating an anti Israel and anti Jewish front.

After the appalling attack on a Jewish man in front of his son, we are bearing witness to another disgraceful act: The Toronto Film Festival has decided to ban the autobiographical film produced by Major General (Res.) Noam Tibon about October 7th on the grounds that Hamas didn’t give ”permission” to use the footage of the terrorists it sent to massacre Israelis.

Hamas, a murderous terror organization, is in no way a source of moral authority - it is a heinous and grotesque organization. The story of the Tibon family is an Israeli truth and absolutely indisputable. Any attempt to silence these facts is purely an act of antisemitism.

I call on the Jewish community of Toronto to boycott the festival and to raise its voice against this despicable decision.

On August 12, 1952, in Moscow’s Lubyanka prison, 13 leading Jewish intellectuals — members of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee — were executed on fabricated charges of espionage and treason. These were poets, writers, actors, and community leaders who had helped rally international support for the Soviet war effort against N**i Germany. After the war, their advocacy for Jewish cultural autonomy and their ties with Jewish communities abroad were rebranded by Stalin’s regime as “Zionist conspiracy” and “treason.”

This was antisemitism disguised as anti-Zionism. Under the cover of political accusations, an entire generation of Jewish cultural leaders in the USSR was wiped out.

We see disturbing echoes of this pattern today. Hostile states and movements cloak their antisemitism in the language of “anti-Zionism,” promoting boycotts, delegitimization, and violence against Jews and Israelis. While not yet reaching the horrors of Stalin’s purges, the trend is alarming.

We call on the international community to act decisively — to protect Jews, Israelis, and all communities targeted under false political pretexts — before history repeats itself.

12 августа 1952 года, в московской тюрьме Лубянка, были расстреляны 13 выдающихся еврейских деятелей — членов Еврейского антифашистского комитета. Это были поэты, писатели, актеры и лидеры общины, которые во время Второй мировой войны помогали мобилизовать международную поддержку советских усилий в борьбе против нацистской Германии. После войны их деятельность по защите еврейской культурной автономии и связи с еврейскими общинами за рубежом сталинский режим переквалифицировал в «сионистский заговор» и «государственную измену».

Это был антисемитизм, замаскированный под антисионизм. Под видом политических обвинений была уничтожена целая генерация еврейских культурных лидеров в СССР.

Сегодня мы видим тревожные параллели. Враждебные государства и движения прикрывают свой антисемитизм риторикой «антисионизма», продвигая бойкоты, делегитимацию и насилие против евреев и израильтян. Пока масштабы не достигли ужаса сталинских репрессий, тенденция уже пугает.

Мы призываем международное сообщество действовать решительно — защищать евреев, израильтян и все общины, которые становятся мишенью под ложными политическими предлогами — прежде чем история повторится.

On August 8th, in Montreal, Canada, a 32-year-old ultra-Orthodox Jewish father was brutally attacked in front of his two children. The assailant beat him to the ground, threw his kippa into a splash pad, and walked away — while the attack was filmed and spread online. This happened in broad daylight, in one of the largest cities of a democratic country.

Canadian leaders, including Prime Minister Mark Carney, Quebec Premier François Legault, and Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante, condemned the attack. But condemnation is not enough. Jewish communities worldwide cannot afford to live in fear while antisemitic violence grows. We demand decisive action, arrests, and deterrence — not just words.

Нападавший повалил его на землю, сорвал кипу и бросил её в фонтан, а затем спокойно ушёл — вся сцена попала на видео и разошлась в сети. Это произошло средь бела дня, в одном из крупнейших городов демократической страны.

Канадские лидеры, включая премьер-министра Марка Карни, премьера Квебека Франсуа Лего и мэра Монреаля Валери Плант, осудили нападение. Но одних осуждений недостаточно. Еврейские общины по всему миру не могут позволить себе жить в страхе, пока антисемитское насилие растёт. Мы требуем решительных действий, арестов и реального сдерживания — а не одних слов.

The War of Attrition ended on August 7, 1970, after more than three years of slow, grinding conflict. It began just weeks after the Six-Day War and stretched along the Suez Canal, where Israel faced constant shelling, terror attacks, and infiltration by Egypt and the PLO — all backed by the USSR, Syria, and even Cuba.

It wasn’t a war to conquer land. It was a war to break us. But we didn’t break.

Today, we face another war of attrition. Not with Nasser, but with Hamas. Not across the canal, but across a border we once believed could be quiet. And just like then, retreat isn’t an option.

We cannot stop. Not while Hamas remains capable of another October 7. Not while our citizens live under the threat of slaughter. Not while 50 Israeli hostages are still in terrorist hands.

We didn’t fold in 1970. And we won’t now.

7 августа 1970 года завершилась Война на истощение — медленная, вязкая, бесконечно утомительная. Начавшаяся сразу после Шестидневной войны, она длилась три года: вдоль Суэцкого канала, под непрерывными обстрелами, налётами, атаками, в которых Израиль стоял против Египта, Иордании, ООП — и против СССР, Сирии, Кубы.

Это была не война за территорию. Это была война за изнурение. Но нас не изнурили.

A Palestinian migrant who crossed the English Channel illegally and called for the murder of Jews has been rightfully returned to prison by UK authorities. Mosab Abdulkarim Al-Gassas, also known as Abu Wadee, glorified the October 7th massacre and posted photos with weapons while praising terrorism. He should have never set foot in Britain — and certainly never walked free after just three months behind bars.

We welcome the court’s decision to send him back. Antisemitic extremists must face consequences — not asylum.

Мосаб Абдулкарим Аль-Гассас (он же Абу Вади) восхвалял резню 7 октября, публиковал фотографии с оружием и прославлял террор. Ему вообще не должно было быть места в Британии — и уж точно не после трёхмесячного “наказания”.

Today is Tisha B’Av — the saddest day in the Jewish calendar. It marks the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem, the exile of our people, and countless other tragedies in Jewish history. Our sages taught that the Second Temple was destroyed because of baseless hatred within the Jewish nation.

Today, when our enemies are once again trying to destroy Israel and break the unity of the Jewish people, we must remember this lesson. Unity is not a luxury — it is our shield. Without it, we are vulnerable; with it, we are unbreakable.

Сегодня 9 ава — самый траурный день еврейского календаря. Он напоминает о разрушении обоих Храмов в Иерусалиме, изгнании нашего народа и множестве других трагедий в еврейской истории. Мудрецы говорили, что Второй Храм был разрушен из-за беспричинной ненависти внутри еврейского народа.

On July 30, 1980, the Knesset passed the Fundamental Law on Jerusalem, declaring: “Jerusalem is the united and indivisible capital of Israel.”

Thirteen years after the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six-Day War, this law not only formalized its legal status but also affirmed its central role in the life of the Jewish people.

For Zionism, this event holds special significance. It symbolizes the fulfillment of a centuries-old dream — the return of the Jewish people to their spiritual and national center, to the Western Wall and the Temple Mount.

It embodies the core idea of the movement: “L’shana haba’a b’Yerushalayim” — next year in Jerusalem.

Today, decades later, Jerusalem remains the heart of Israel and of the entire Jewish people — eternal, vibrant, and indivisible.

30 июля 1980 года Кнессет принял Основной закон об Иерусалиме, провозглашающий: «Иерусалим — единая и неделимая столица Израиля».

Через 13 лет после объединения Иерусалима в ходе Шестидневной войны этот закон закрепил не только его юридический статус, но и подтвердил его центральную роль в жизни еврейского народа.

Для сионизма это событие имеет особое значение. Оно символизирует осуществление вековой мечты — возвращение еврейского народа к своему духовному и национальному центру, к Стене Плача и Храмовой горе.

Это воплощение центральной идеи движения: «Лешана hабаа бИрушалаим» — в следующем году в Иерусалиме.

Сегодня, спустя десятилетия, Иерусалим остаётся сердцем Израиля и всего еврейского народа — вечным, живым, неделимым.

Unbearable pain…

In recent days, we have lost three Israeli soldiers who gave their lives in the line of duty in the Gaza Strip.

Master Sergeant Bezalel Yehoshua Mosbacher, 32, from Avnei Eitan – a soldier in the 749th Engineering Battalion, succumbed to severe injuries sustained in a roadside bomb explosion in the southern Gaza Strip.

Captain Amir Saad, 22, from Yanuh-Jat – an officer in the technological support unit of the Golani Brigade's reconnaissance battalion, was killed in combat in southern Gaza.

Sergeant Inon Nuriel Vana, 20, from Kiryat Tiv'on – a soldier in the technological support unit of the Golani Brigade's reconnaissance battalion, was killed in combat in southern Gaza.

Their names will not be forgotten. We grieve alongside their families.

May their memory be a blessing. 🕯️

За последние дни мы потеряли трёх израильских солдат, отдавших свои жизни в ходе службы в секторе Газа.

Старшина Бецалель Йегошуа Мосбахер, 32 года, из Авней-Эйтана – боец 749-го инженерного батальона, скончался от тяжёлых ран, полученных в результате взрыва придорожной бомбы на юге сектора Газа.
