Matan's partner, Ilana Gritzewsky, was abducted and returned after 55 days in Hamas captivity in the November 2023 deal, wrote on his poster (upper-left corner):

The mothers of three IDF soldiers held hostage, each with a different status regarding their fate, spoke of their anguish, desperation, and hope for to present a new release deal next week when he visits the Middle East.

On the eve of ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Memorial Day for Fallen and Victims of Terror, which is immediately followed by Independence Day, thousands of reserve duty call ups were sent.

The morale of the country is low. Soldiers and reservists are tired of risking their lives, as well as the remaining 59 hostages, while 60,000 ultra-orthodox men continue to refuse enlistment.

This year, there was little to no celebration.
