Be careful… not every “man of God” is leading you to God.
A lot of people don’t actually want a pastor…
They want a motivational speaker with a Bible.
They don’t want correction.
They don’t want accountability.
They don’t want truth that cuts.
They want to feel good.
They want to be told they’re right.
They want to stay comfortable.
The Bible says there is safety in a multitude of counselors (Proverbs 11:14),
but most people don’t want to be corrected — they just want to be agreed with.
So instead, they chase the prophetic.
Dreams. Signs. Feelings. “Words.”
But they don’t actually want to know God.
Because if you knew Him, you’d know His voice.
You wouldn’t need somebody constantly telling you what He’s saying.
And this is where people get pulled in.
There are leaders who build everything off “prophetic dreams,”
talking about money coming, elevation coming,
telling people they’re the chosen ones…
and everybody else is wicked.
That’s not discernment — that’s control.
It keeps people hooked on the next word,
the next dream,
the next promise…
instead of being grounded in Christ.
That kind of hope isn’t anchored in Jesus.
It’s anchored in a man.
And that’s dangerous.
Because now you don’t trust God —
you trust what that man says God is saying.
The Word already warned us:
“For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves… and will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:3–4)
