Indian filmmakers are often known to copy posters from Hollywood films — sometimes inspired, sometimes copy paste.

Now, Lokesh Kanagaraj has scrapped the poster of his much-awaited film Coolie from Madame Web. Honestly, I didn’t expect this from Lokesh, as his filmmaking style is quite unique, and copying didn’t seem like his thing.

If the theme of the plot has also been lifted, then that would truly be disappointing.
Let’s wait and see how things turn out.

With release of two new movies this Friday and the success of holdover releases, the competition heats up at the box office. Here's how the Hindi movies performed at the box office on 1 Aug 2025.

: Ajay Devgn's comedy sequel had an average opening day at the box office. It failed to touch the double digit number by a big margin and ended up just under ₹7 Cr.

: Siddharth Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri starrer romantic drama has recieved good reviews but at the box office it managed to earn ₹3.65 Cr on it opening day.

: Saiyaara fever is finally slowing down. The blockbuster romantic drama earned around ₹4.5 Cr on its 15 day. However, we can expect huge jump on Saturday and Sunday.

: Lord Vishnu has full grip at the box office now. Despite huge competition, it is now the first choice for the movie lovers. On its 8th day, it collected around ₹5.5 Cr and is expected to witness incredible growth over weekend.
