Gurucharan University has officially included the Hmar Department in its Moderation Board process for the FYUG 1st Semester Examinations, 2025.

The department will now be part of the question paper review and moderation process, with meetings set for Sept 23โ€“24, 2025.

With profound grief and deep sorrow, the Hmar Studentsโ€™ Association, Assam State Committee mourns the sudden and untimely demise of our beloved cultural icon, Zubeen Garg. His passing has left a void not only in the hearts of every student but also in the entire cultural landscape of Assam and beyond.

Zubeen da was more than just a singer; he was the heartbeat of a generation. His powerful voice, which resonated with a unique blend of folk, rock, and soul, had an unmatched ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His music was a testament to his passion, courage, and rebellious spirit, inspiring countless young minds to dream and to stand up for what they believe in.

His contributions to Assamese music and culture were extraordinary and will forever be etched in our memories. He was an artist who fearlessly pushed boundaries, creating a legacy that will continue to inspire new generations of artists and music lovers.

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Pu Lalmalsawma Darngawn, Former Chairman of Sinlung Hills Development Council (SHDC), Mizoram.

After battling a prolonged illness (cancer), he left for his heavenly abode just a few hour ago.

๐Ÿก Residence: แนฌinghmun, Mizoram
๐Ÿ•Š During the HPC period, he worked tirelessly for the development of our land and the welfare of the Hmar community.

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ May his soul rest in eternal peace.
