On 29th August 2025, at the Assam Secretariat, Guwahati, Pu Lalhmarthang Tuolor and Tv Emmanuel Tuolor strongly advocated for the inclusion of Hmar (MIL) language at the elementary education level.โœ๏ธ

This is a proud moment for the Hmar community, as efforts are being made to secure recognition for our language in education. We now await a fruitful discussion with the Honโ€™ble Minister on this important matter. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿค

Mercy Lalumpui โ€“ Short Biography

Mercy Lalumpui, born in Saikawt, is the eldest of two siblings. From her early days, she has stood out with both academic brilliance, natural beauty, and musical talent.

She secured the 2nd position in the state of Manipur in Class 12 (Arts stream). She went on to complete her B.A. in Political Science at Miranda House, Delhi University, followed by her M.A. in Political Science at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). She has also cleared the UGC NET in Political Science and is now awaiting her chance to serve in higher education.
