We are truly honoured to welcome Dr. Rakhshanda Jalil — acclaimed writer, translator, and literary historian — as the Guest of Honour at the 5th Edition of our literary symposium, Poetry & You. ✨📖

Author of more than 30 books and a passionate advocate of Urdu literature, Dr. Jalil has illuminated the works of literary greats while creating a formidable body of translations, essays, and cultural histories. 🌿

At this edition, she will present a special poetry recitation from “The Story of Eve” — her remarkable English translation of the powerful verses of Zehra Nigah. This session promises to bring alive the timeless resonance of Urdu poetry and the art of translation. 🎤💫

CALL FOR SUBMISSION: "The Soul of Delhi: Stories from the Capital"

Dear Writers and Storytellers,

We are thrilled to announce a call for submissions for our upcoming anthology, "The Soul of Delhi: Stories from the Capital".
As we aim to compile a diverse collection of stories that reflect the soul of Delhi, we invite writers from all walks of life to share their tales, experiences, and insights about this vibrant city.

Whether you're a seasoned writer, a budding storyteller, or someone with a unique perspective on Delhi, we encourage you to submit your work. We welcome fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays, and any other form of creative expression that encapsulates the essence of Delhi.

Till now, the anthology has received approx. 40-50 stories and poems from well-known writers of India. The overall response has been overwhelming, and the submission deadline is open till 31st August 2025. So, if you haven’t submitted your entry yet, we invite you to join us in this exciting project. Let your words echo through the pages, sharing your unique view of Delhi with readers everywhere. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this celebration of Delhi!

We welcome fiction, non-fiction, poems, essays, and any other form of creative expression that encapsulates the essence of Delhi.

Themes may include (but are not limited to):
1. Cultural richness and diversity
2. Historical landmarks and heritage sites
3. Everyday life in Delhi
4. Socio-political dynamics
5. Personal anecdotes and experiences
6. Urban exploration and cityscapes
7. Challenges and triumphs of Delhiites

Submission Guidelines:
1. Submissions should be original and unpublished.
2. Word limit: 1000 - 5000 words for prose and not more than 3 poems per submission.
3. Please format your work in Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced.
4. Include your name, email address, and a brief bio (100 words) in the document.
5. Submit your work as a Word document (.doc or .docx) to [[email protected]] with the subject line "Submission for The Soul of Delhi by - [Your Name]."

Here’s a glimpse of the May edition of Poetry & You, held on 18th May at Kunzum, Jorbagh, Delhi. A space where words come alive, poems take flight, and stories bring us together — a heartfelt celebration of literature, poetry, and the magic we create as a community.

Poetry and You is a growing artistic initiative curated by Lab Academia - Research and Publishing Center. Under this banner, we’re building an ever-evolving ecosystem of creative minds — including writers, content creators, trainers, and entrepreneurs.

So far, we’ve successfully organized over 50+ events across various cities, bringing together voices that inspire and connect. We’ve also published three editions of the Poetry and You anthology, all receiving great responses on Amazon.
