India’s thousands-year-old traditions of meditation, pranayama, and Sanskrit are now being
embraced worldwide under names like “Mindfulness Therapy” and “Stress Reduction
Science.” Research institutes, including the University of Michigan, have conducted studies
on meditation and breathing practices, showing positive effects on PTSD, stress reduction,
and brain healing. The sad irony is that the same knowledge systems often dismissed as
superstition in India have become billion-dollar wellness therapies abroad. It’s time to
reconnect with our roots, understand Sanskrit, meditation, and rediscover the depth of
India’s ancient knowledge systems.
