बचपन में शिशु मंदिर में कक्षाचार्य जी जब किसी महापुरुष के बारे में बताते थे तो प्रायः इसी बात से प्रारम्भ करते थे की अमुक महापुरुष बहुमुखी प्रतिभा के धनी थे । “बहुमुखी-प्रतिभा” शिशु मंदिर में एक की-वर्ड था । मेरे लिए इससे बड़ा कोई शब्द नहीं था । पढ़ाई के साथ साथ सुबह वंदना में तबला बजाना, दोपहर भाषण की तैयारी करना, सायं अखाड़ा लड़ना, घर पर प्रयोग करना । बहुमुखी होना तो जैसे सपना बन गया था ।

एक शाम मेरे कक्षाचार्य जी जब मेरे घर पधारे तो उन्होंनें मुझे वीडियोगेम खेलते देखा और जब उन्हें पता चला की मैं दैनिक रूप से विडियोगेम खेलता हूँ तो उन्होंनें विद्यालय के कंप्यूटरलैब में वीडियोगेम अनिवार्य करवा दिया। विद्यालय में वीडियोगेम की भी परीक्षा होने लगी क्योंकि विद्यालय का एक तेज छात्र वीडियोगेम खेलता था । मुझे अत्यंत आनंद हुआ । उत्साह बढ़ा तो पढ़ाई के साथ साथ कहानियाँ लिखीं, चित्र बनाये, कविता लिखी, नाट्य किया, संस्कृत में भाषण दिया, अंग्रेजी में वाद किया । प्रश्नमंच में बैठे । भारतीय संस्कृति परीक्षा में भी शीर्ष आए । और ये सब इसलिए संभव हुआ की आचार्यों ने और मम्मी ने किसी बात के लिए मना नहीं किया ।

या वो शायद मेरी लगन देख कर मना नहीं कर पाये ।

और शायद इसी कारण यूट्यूब भी आगे बढ़ा । पढ़ना, लिखना, सोचना, बोलना, चित्रित करना, संगीत डालना सब तो चाहिए ।

यूट्यूब भी किसी शिशु मंदिर का आचार्य ही है जो आपके बहुमुखी होने को पुरस्कृत करता है ।
