On December 22, 2025, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir arrested Javid Ahmad Hajam, an alleged terrorist associate, during a joint operation in the Wuyan Khrew area of Awantipora.
The operation was a coordinated Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) involving the Awantipora Police, the Army's 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the 185 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Identity: Javid Ahmad Hajam, son of Abdul Rashid Hajam, is a resident of Gulab Bagh, Tral.
Recoveries: Authorities recovered one pistol and five live rounds of ammunition from his possession.
Role: Preliminary investigations indicate Hajam was an "overground worker" (OGW) who provided logistical support and transported arms and ammunition for active terrorists in the Pampore, Tral, and Awantipora areas.
Legal Action: A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and an investigation is underway to identify his broader support network.

The news of the passing of Mehwish Nazir, a student and resident of Bon-Zanigam, Beerwah, has left my heart profoundly saddened, and the entire region is shrouded in grief and sorrow. The sudden departure of such a young student has brought tears to every eye and restlessness to every heart. Those dreams that were still awaiting fulfillment have remained incomplete, silenced by the quiet rustle of death's wings.

The "wings of death" remind us that life is but a fleeting traveler. While a human is busy weaving plans for knowledge, hope, and the future, the curtain of time suddenly falls. In such moments, no path remains except for patience (Sabr), prayer (Dua), and submitting to the Will of the Almighty.
