In school – it’s period.
In prison – it’s sentence.
In office – it’s shift.
In movies – it’s duration.
In exams – it’s limit.
In travel – it’s journey time.
In hospitals – it’s waiting time.
In sports – it’s half-time / full-time.
For cooking – it’s baking/boiling time.
In life – it’s age.
In history – it’s era.
In science – it’s reaction time.
For appointments – it’s slot.
In daily life – it’s routine.
In business – it’s deadlines.
In music – it’s tempo.

Grammar Tip of the Day:
Confusing Verb Tenses: “I did” vs. “I have done”

“I did” = Simple Past (specific time in the past)
“I have done” = Present Perfect (no specific time; still relevant now)

Examples:
• I did my homework last night. (Past action, time mentioned)
• I have done my homework. (Past action, but time is not mentioned — result matters now)

Use “have done” when you’re talking about life experience, recent actions, or results that affect the present.
