ಸಂಘದ ನೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಂಘದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳು ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ನಿಷೇಧ ಹೇರಲಾಯಿತು. ಟೀಕೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಘದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಸಮರ್ಪಣಾಭಾವದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
