The Indian duo entered the contest with a commanding 7-2 head-to-head record against the Malaysians and once again asserted their dominance in a thrilling semifinal encounter at the Toyota Thailand Open 2026.

The deciding game began evenly, with Satwik taking greater initiative and launching a series of powerful smashes. The score remained close at 5-5 before Satwik and Chirag surged ahead by winning six consecutive points. The Malaysians committed a number of unforced errors, allowing the Indians to establish a decisive 11-5 lead at the interval.
Although the Malaysian pair attempted a comeback and narrowed the gap to 17-13, they remained inconsistent at crucial moments. Satwik and Chirag regained control to move to 19-14. Chirag was then called for a service fault, but Satwik responded immediately with a sharp cross-court smash to earn five match points.
The Indian pair sealed the contest comfortably, winning 18-21, 22-20, 21-16 to storm into the final of the Toyota Thailand Open 2026. Notably, Satwik and Chirag are former champions of the tournament, having won the title in 2019 and 2024, and will now look to add a third crown to their achievements.
