The final cut was 50 seconds. The day behind it lasted… a little longer.

Every project leaves behind a trail of ideas that never make it into the final cut. This soundtrack was one of them.

Before we landed on the final score for Kala Loka, we explored a few different directions. Some felt too traditional. Others leaned too far into atmosphere. Each version helped us understand what the film actually needed.

The final soundtrack is only one part of the story. The experiments behind it are just as interesting.

This is one of the things we’ll be sharing more of through Denzong Labs

If you’d like us to unpack this experiment, comment SCORE We’ll share the creative brief, prompt, tools, and everything that changed between Version 01 and the final score.

While making this film for Kala Loka’s store launch at Terminal 2, BLR Airport, we found ourselves spending as much time thinking about the sound as we did the visuals.

Using AI as part of the creative process, we developed an original score inspired by Indian classical music, exploring how it could complement the mood, rhythm, and cultural context of the space.

A small experiment that became part of a film delivered in under 24 hours.

BRINE was the very first project we were brought on for by In Your District Bengaluru

What we’ll remember most, though, is what happened behind the camera.

From ideation and production planning to coordination and post-production, the project was largely driven by our intern, Swetha Iyer Our role was to create the space for that ownership while guiding the process, challenging ideas, and ensuring the final output met the standard we want every Denzong project to be known for.

Along the way, it introduced us to new talent, new strengths, and a different role for ourselves as a team. It reminded us that some of the most meaningful projects are the ones that help people grow.

Brine left us with a film we’re proud of. More importantly, it left us with greater confidence in the people we trust to lead.
