In Suspected Murder, 67-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Yaiskul

Oct 13, 2025: In a suspected murder case, a 67-year-old woman was found dead at her residence located at Yaiskul Chingakham Leirak in Imphal West district on Monday afternoon around 4:30 pm. The deceased has been identified as Angom Ningol Asem (Onbi) Rita Devi, wife of Asem Mohindro of Yaiskul Chingakham Leirak, Imphal West district, Manipur.

According to locals, the deceased was a retired physiotherapist from RIMS who lived with her husband and son. The incident occurred while no one was at home, and her body, found lying on the floor with splashes of blood, was discovered on the second floor of the residence.

The Imphal Police team, along with the Forensic Science team, rushed to the spot to study the crime scene and investigate the incident, remaining there until around 7:30 pm. However, it is yet to be determined how the incident took place.
