Congress Holds Rally in Uri Demanding Restoration of Statehood

Uri, Baramulla, July,15:

Under the banner "Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq", Congress leaders, including Wagoora MLA Adv. Irfan Hafeez, Nisar Ahmad Mandoo, District President Mir Iqbal Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, and Shaijan Dar, held a rally in Uri on tuesday

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from local leaders such as Bilal Ashiq Mir, Bharat Kumar, Master Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, and Rouf Khan. The participants raised powerful slogans including "Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq" and "Hamari Zameen Hamara Haq", demanding the restoration of full statehood to Jammu & Kashmir.

The leaders submitted a memorandum to the SDM Uri, reiterating the demand for constitutional rights, democratic representation, and the return of statehood.

*Two Kulgam resident killed, 2 critically injured in Awantipora road accident*

Awantipora, July,15:

Two died, while two others were critically injured when their alto car rammed into a stationary truck on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway at Padgampora, Awantipora on Tuesday evening, official said.

An official told that an alto bearing registration number JK18B 5329 rammed into a parked truck at Padgampora, Awantipora along Jammu-Srinagar NH in Pulwama district, resulting in the death of one person on spot and critical injuries to three persons” he said.

“One among the injured person also succumbs his injuries at SMHS hospital Sgr”, he said.

Deceased identified as Rouf Gull, son of Gull Mohammad Lone from Dardgund, 2. Abdul Rashid Sheikh, son of Ghulam Hassan Sheikh from Devsar.

Injured persons identified as Showkat Ahmad Lone from Dardgund, while Firdousa, wife of Aijaz Ahmad Lone from Devsar.

Meanwhile, Police reached the spot and taken cognisance of the incident...

*District Admin B'la Bids Farewell to ADDC & CPO; Welcomes New CPO & AO*

Baramulla, July,15:

In a warm and heartfelt gesture, the District Administration Baramulla today organized a grand farewell-cum-welcome function at Dakbanglow Baramulla to bid farewell to outgoing Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ghulam Rasool Mir and Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Javid Ahmad Najar, while also welcoming the newly appointed Chief Planning Officer and Accounts Officer.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, presided over the function and praised the outgoing officers for their sincere and dedicated service to the district. He highlighted their valuable contributions in planning, development, and administrative affairs, and wished them success in their future assignments.

Several senior officers from various departments also spoke on the occasion, appreciating the professionalism, commitment, and coordination displayed by the outgoing officers during their tenure.

As a mark of respect and affection, tokens of love and appreciation were presented to both officers by DC Baramulla and other officers from different departments.

The event also served as a platform to formally welcome the newly posted Chief Planning Officer and Accounts Officer. The Deputy Commissioner and other speakers extended their best wishes to the new officers, assuring full cooperation and support in carrying forward the district’s developmental vision.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a warm interaction session among all present....
