BJP Senior Leader Advocate Haamid Bhat Delivers Hard-Hitting Attack: โ€œOmar Abdullahโ€™s Government Has Turned Governance Into a Circus of Excuses

Baramulla, J&K โ€” In one of his most forceful statements to date, BJP Senior Leader Advocate Haamid Bhat launched a blistering political assault on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the National Conferenceโ€“led administration, accusing them of presiding over the most directionless and excuse-driven government in recent years.

Advocate Haamid Bhat declared That The Omar Abdullahโ€“led government has reduced governance to a joke. Every single failure is shamelessly pushed onto someone else, the LG, the Centre, departments, officials, weather, circumstances everything except their own incompetence. This is not leadership; this is political escapism of the highest order.โ€

The people of Jammu & Kashmir did not vote for a Chief Minister who spends his time manufacturing excuses. If Omar Abdullah cannot handle responsibility, he should admit it openly instead of misleading people with daily blame-shifting. A government that cannot stand on its own feet has no business sitting on the Chief Ministerโ€™s chair.โ€

Calling out the NC regime directly, Advocate Haamid Bhat said:

โ€œThis government has completely lost control. It has no roadmap, no conviction, and no capacity to deliver on even the smallest commitments. Instead of working for the people, Omar Abdullah is busy hiding failures behind scripted statements and political drama. The era of fooling the public is over.โ€

He added that the BJP will not allow this administration to escape accountability, stating:

โ€œJ&K needs bold leadership, not a government that collapses under its own excuses. The BJP stands with the people, and we will continue to expose every attempt by the National Conference to run away from responsibility.

*JKBOSE Plans Two-Tier Mathematics Exam for Class 10; Public Suggestions Invited Within 10 Days*

Srinagar, Nov 29 (KNC): In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has proposed a major reform by introducing two levels of Mathematics Basic and Standard for Class 10 students.

The initiative is aimed at reducing exam pressure and ensuring that assessments match the future academic interests of students.

According to an official notification issued by the BOSE as per news agency Kashmir News Corner --- KNC, the Board seeks to remodel the existing evaluation system by allowing students to select the level of Mathematics that best suits their higher education plans, especially for those intending to pursue the subject at the Higher Secondary level.

As per the proposal, the Class 10 Board Exam will continue as a single examination, but students will be able to choose between Mathematics-Standard and Mathematics-Basic, depending on their choice and aptitude.

The Board explained that the Standard level paper will retain the current difficulty level, while the Basic level paper will be comparatively simpler. The move is designed to ensure that students who do not plan to continue with Mathematics after Class 10 are not burdened with advanced-level testing.

JKBOSE clarified that students aiming to take Mathematics in Classes 11 and 12 must opt for the Standard level, while those not interested in pursuing Mathematics further may choose the Basic level.

Despite varied difficulty levels, JKBOSE confirmed that the syllabus, teaching practices, and internal assessments will remain uniform for both levels. This would allow students to study the full range of topics and later choose the most suitable level for the final exam.

Students who select Mathematics-Standard but do not clear the exam will be eligible to appear in the Bi-Annual Examination, where they can attempt either the Standard or Basic level, as per their preference.

Similarly, a student who opts for Mathematics-Basic, clears the exam, and later decides to pursue Mathematics at Higher Secondary level will be permitted to sit for the Mathematics-Standard Compartment Examination, ensuring academic flexibility.

To ensure a transparent and inclusive decision-making process, JKBOSE has sought feedback and suggestions from all sections of society, including teachers, parents, students, academicians, civil society groups, and scholars. Responses must be submitted within 10 days of the issuance of the notice.

Stakeholders can share their views via email at:

National Stock Exchange, J&K Government Tie Up to Push Small Businesses into Capital Market, MSMEs in Kashmir, Jammu to Get IPO Access.

Jammu, Nov 29:

The National Stock Exchange of India and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir have entered into an agreement to enable small and medium enterprises in the Union Territory to raise funds through the stock market, signalling a shift toward formal capital access for local businesses.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Jammu between senior officials of the Industries and Commerce Department and officials of the National Stock Exchange in the presence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Under the agreement, MSMEs in Jammu and Kashmir will be guided on how to access funding through IPOs on NSEโ€™s SME platform, NSE Emerge. Authorities said awareness programmes, workshops and MSME camps will be organised across the Union Territory to help local entrepreneurs understand the listing process and compliance requirements.

Officials said the plan aims to move small businesses away from sole dependence on bank loans by introducing capital market participation. Local firms will be assisted step by step in meeting regulatory norms required for listing.

Secretary Industries and Commerce Vikramjit Singh said the government is focusing on creating a business ecosystem that attracts investments and helps MSMEs grow beyond regional limitations. He said small businesses in the Union Territory must be able to compete nationally and globally using modern financial instruments.

NSE officials said the platform is designed to offer smaller enterprises easier access to capital, build investor trust and increase business visibility. They urged local MSMEs to take advantage of the opportunity and move toward organised financing through stock market participation.

MSMEs in Jammu and Kashmir form the backbone of the local economy but often struggle with limited access to formal credit due to documentation hurdles and lack of collateral. Industry associations have long demanded alternative financing channels to reduce overreliance on traditional banks.

NSE Emerge has already facilitated the listing of hundreds of SMEs across India, enabling companies to raise thousands of crores through public offerings. Officials said similar benefits could transform business operations in Jammu and Kashmir if awareness and participation increase.

The tie-up comes at a time when the administration is trying to attract private investment and push self-employment schemes beyond subsidy-based models...

ED widens probe against AI Falah group
Land deals under scanner.

NEW DELHI, Nov 29: Widening its probe into the alleged financial irregularities at the Al Falah Group and Trust, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has detected that its arrested chairman could have acquired some land parcels in Delhi by โ€œforgingโ€ documents.

The Al Falah University based in Haryanaโ€™s Faridabad district is under the spotlight of investigations into the November 10 Red Fort area blast case in which a doctor working at its Medical College allegedly blew himself up in a car full of chemical explosives. 15 persons were killed in the blast and a number of other were injured.

The federal probe agency, as per official sources, is investigating at least five instances where documents related to the General Power of Attorney (GPA) for acquiring land parcels are alleged to have been forged at the behest of a Trust linked to the arrested chairman of the Al Falah Group, Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui.

Siddiqui was arrested by the ED on November 18 following raids against the Al Falah Group and its linked entities in a money laundering case linked to cheating with students of their educational institutions who reportedly did not have valid accreditation.

The GPAs could have been in the name of certain dead persons and the investigation is ongoing, the sources said.

The ED has also initiated a process to identify and value the movable and immovable assets of the group spread across the country apart from funds that are alleged to have been โ€œdivertedโ€ by it abroad. The agency may attach these properties under the anti-money laundering law.

The ED had accused Siddiqui of generating over Rs 415 crore โ€œdishonestlyโ€ from students studying in the institutions run by his Trust.

It had claimed that the chairman had โ€œincentivesโ€ to flee India as his close family members are settled in the Gulf.

The ED had also claimed in its remand petition for Siddiqui that he had โ€œcommandโ€ over the staff that handled admission registers, fee ledgers, accounts and IT systems of the Al Falah University and other institutions under the Trust and he could โ€œdestroy or alter recordsโ€.

The entire Al Falah educational ecosystem is controlled by him (Siddiqui) and only a portion of the proceeds of crime worth Rs 415.10 crore has been identified so farโ€ฆ, the ED claimed.

The agency said the entire Al Falah group has seen a โ€œmeteoric riseโ€ since the 1990s, metamorphosing into a large educational body. (PTI)...
