📚 Book Review 📚
Introduction:-
You must have come across the kind of people in your life who are so rich that they aren't happy or you must have heard about such people, right? In this book, Julian is that rich lawyer who can buy anything he wants, but alas! He couldn't buy health and happiness for himself. After getting sick suddenly one day, Julian sold everything including his Ferrari and became a monk. During his stay in India, he learns some life lessons which he further shares with his friend. The lessons are:-
1. The Garden of your Mind:-
Imagine you have a beautiful garden full of flowers then will allow anyone to throw dirt in your Garden? No, right?
Your mind is your beautiful Garden but you keep allowing people to influence it through negative thoughts. Don't let anyone destroy your beautiful Garden of Mind. Nourish your mind with peaceful and positive flowers.🌳🌸
2. The Lighthouse of Goals:-
Yogi Raman says " If you don't know where you want to go then How will you ever know when you can be there?" He says one needs to find out his passion and purpose in life because purpose let's us keep going💕
3. Kaizan :-
Yogi Raman practices the technique of small improvements daily. If you work on small habits daily, you will reap great results in the long term. Hence, start from small steps💡
4. A Golden Watch :-
This reminds us to respect our time. Everyone has been given 24 hours, some become Bill Gates whereas some still complain about not having sufficient time. Yogi Raman says plan your day the night before and then at the end of the day, analyze your day and see if you were able to keep your own promise. ⏳
6. Yellow Roses :-
This represents Kindness and Selflessness. Yogi Raman said that his father used to let him awake till he did any kind act the whole day. Beautiful, right? 🥀 Our kindness is what makes us human. 🙌
Conclusion:-
This was my first nonfiction read and it made me more calm and kind than I was. I will recommend this book to everyone especially to those who are suffering some kind of sad phase, or mental breakdown💌
