This is what we pay taxes for. This is the condition of the busiest airport of the country after just one night of rain.

A cab driver was crushed to death after the roof of the Delhi Airport Terminal 1 collapsed amid heavy rain.

At least 8 people have been injured.

The official statement from the Delhi Airport, which is managed by GMR, says ‘a portion of the canopy at the old departure forecourt of the terminal collapsed around 5 am due to heavy rain.’

Delhi airport is the busiest airport of India and among the busiest in the world. It has posters of ‘best airport’ all over. And this is how the ‘best airport’ falls apart after just one night of rainfall.

Unfortunately, the same old political blame game has started. Even after being in power for a decade now, the BJP is blaming the Congress party for this saying that this terminal was first opened under the UPA regime in 2009. Congress is blaming the BJP pointing out that PM Modi inaugurated this very portion of Terminal 1 in March this year.

Who will take responsibility for the cab driver’s death? Who will be answerable to his family who lost their loved one to Government and corporate negligence?

Major fire broke out at Ward number 16, Baripada due to lightning.

But fire was extinguished due to rain after some time without causing any harm.
